Hitting out of the leadoff spot for the first time since 2004, Michael Young went 3-for-5 and scored a run on Thursday, helping to lead the Phillies to a 5-1 victory over the struggling Brewers. While he isn't hitting for much power, Young knows how to work the count and has been getting on base at an acceptable clip, so it's not outlandish to think he could remain in the role. While his fantasy value has been minimal this season, the boost in runs scored that he would see hitting atop the lineup should help his cause.

Michael Young will bat leadoff Thursday against the Brewers. This will be his first start out of the leadoff spot since way back in 2004. Young isn't driving the ball much these days, but he has already drawn 24 walks in 53 games. It's not a bad way to use him.

Young has followed up a .341 month of April by hitting .171 with no homers and four RBI in 82 at-bats this month. He's still drawing walks and he'll probably resume hitting singles soon, but he's not much of a fantasy third baseman these days.

Michael Young was hitless in four at-bats in Friday and has just one RBI over his last 14 games. Young has a decent .280 batting average to go along with a .378 on-base percentage, but he has done little else to help in fantasy leagues. Through 47 games, he has just one home run to go along with 10 RBI. With his penchant for ground balls (he had three ground outs on Friday), we're not banking on a power resurgence.

Michael Young is not in the Phillies' lineup Saturday. It's just a scheduled day off for Young. The Phillies are going with Freddy Galvis at third base in his place.
