Lorenzen allowed a hit and four walks over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out four during the loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen struggled with his command but continually evaded danger and turned in his best -- and longest -- start of the year. Unfortunately for him, the Rangers were shut out, preventing him from getting back in the win column. He's produced quality starts in three of his six outings this season and lowered his ERA to 3.75 through 36 frames. Lorenzen's next start is projected to be at home against the Angels this weekend.

Lorenzen (2-2) took the loss in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the A's, surrendering six runs on nine hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Seven of the nine hits off Lorenzen went for extra bases, including homers by Shea Langeliers and Brett Harris. The right-hander has had a bumpy beginning to his Rangers tenure, but he's least providing some length and has worked exactly six innings in four straight outings. Lorenzen will take a 4.66 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 23:14 K:BB through 29 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Guardians.

Lorenzen allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters in six innings during Friday's loss to the Royals. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Despite allowing a fair amount of traffic on the bases, Lorenzen was able to keep the Royals' bats quiet for six innings outside of a fifth-inning solo home run off the bat of Hunter Renfroe. Lorenzen now sports a 3.52 ERA through across 23 innings through his first four starts, and he should have an opportunity to stay hot as he faces the A's in Oakland on Wednesday.

Lorenzen (2-1) took the loss Saturday, coughing up five runs on six hits and a walk over six-plus innings in an 8-4 loss to Cincinnati. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander came out firing, striking out the first two batters he faced, but things began to go sideways for Lorenzen in the second frame. Even so, he'd put together a quality start through six innings, but manager Bruce Bochy let him begin the seventh and Lorenzen hit Tyler Stephenson with a pitch before serving up a homer to Jonathan India. He left the mound after exactly 100 pitches (68 strikes), and Lorenzen will take a 4.24 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB through 17 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Kansas City.

Lorenzen (2-0) got the win Atlanta on Sunday, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
All three runs against Lorenzen came in the first inning after he gave up a home run to Marcell Ozuna. After that, Lorenzen was able to get in a nice groove and shut down Atlanta's talented lineup for his second win in as many tries. He's been an excellent addition thus far for a Rangers rotation still working on getting guys back from injury. Lorenzen owns a 2.45 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 11:8 K:BB in 11 innings and lines up for another weekend start against Cincinnati.

Lorenzen (1-0) allowed zero runs on three hits while walking five to earn the win Monday against the Tigers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen struggled with his command as evidenced by the five walks allowed but induced a fifth-inning double play by Mark Canha to close out his night unscathed and earn the victory in his first start of the season. The veteran righty signed with the Rangers in late March after coming off a career-high 153 innings split between the Tigers and Phillies last season. He tossed 79 pitches and will look to increase that total while improving his control during his next start, tentatively slated to take place over the weekend in Atlanta.

Lorenzen (neck) was activated from the 15-day injured list by the Rangers on Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lorenzen is set to make his Rangers and season debut with a start Monday in Detroit. While technically on the IL with a neck injury, Lorenzen making three rehab starts had as much or more to do with knocking the rust off after he didn't sign until late March. He held a 6.35 ERA and 13:9 K:BB over 11.1 innings in those rehab outings and doesn't make for a very desirable fantasy start Monday.

Lorenzen (neck) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to make his Rangers debut Monday against the Tigers, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander made his third rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday and allowed four runs across 4.2 innings, and he'll join the big-league rotation Monday with Cody Bradford (back) headed to the injured list. Lorenzen's role appeared in question with Bradford securing a longer-term rotation spot due to his performance, but Lorenzen will now have at least a couple weeks to stake his claim to a starting spot.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Thursday that Cody Bradford will remain in the rotation after Lorenzen (neck) is activated, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Lorenzen signed in late March, it had seemed Bradford would eventually wind up in the bullpen or at Triple-A Round Rock. However, he's forced Bochy's hand in posting a 1.40 ERA in his first three starts. It's not clear whether the team might use a six-man rotation for a while or the role of Lorenzen or another starter could be reconsidered. Lorenzen made his third rehab start with Round Rock on Wednesday and had been poised for activation early next week. The righty has yielded eight runs with a 13:9 K:BB over 11.1 innings thus far for Round Rock, so it's possible the club will delay a decision and give Lorenzen more rehab time to sharpen up.

Lorenzen (neck) said Sunday he'll make one more minor-league rehab start before joining the Rangers, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander threw 70 pitches while allowing a run over four innings with Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday, and he'll continue building up his workload in his next rehab start, which could come Tuesday. Lorenzen is on the shelf with a neck strain, but the purpose of his stint on the injured list is primarily to build up his pitch count after signing with Texas late in spring training.
