Bourn (broken finger) won't be ready for MLB action until mid-April, the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder will likely begin the 2017 campaign on the DL. A key caveat to his recovery is the fact that Bourn has a clause in his minor-league contract that allows him to opt out if the team doesn't place him on the major league roster by March 27. However, the Orioles could circumvent that by adding Bourn to the 40-man roster and placing him on the new 10-day disabled list to open the season. That move could be backdated to March 30, so Bourn would be eligible to return on April 9. He's not expected to get the splint off his finger for another three weeks, and even then he must get his range of motion back before he's able to begin baseball activities.

Bourn (finger) isn't expected to receive at-bats in spring training games because of his recently broken finger, according to manager Buck Showalter, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a tough break for the veteran outfielder, who fractured the digit playing football last week. The 34-year-old still may earn a chance with the big club sometime in 2017, though other dominoes will have to fall in a crowded outfield for him to earn significant playing time. AL-only fantasy competitors could consider stashing him on a DL roster spot, though at the moment, there's not much immediate reward for that decision.

Bourn broke his right ring finger playing football on Friday and will be out four weeks, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's devastating news for Bourn, who signed a minor league contract with the Orioles this offseason and was competing for a reserve outfield role on the roster. The 34-year-old was traded to Baltimore by Arizona last August and ended the year hitting .264 with 38 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 113 games. Bourn's injury opens the door for Craig Gentry or Joey Rickard to earn more outfield playing time as spring camp continues.

Bourn has signed a minor league contract with Baltimore, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal is a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training and a $2 million dollar salary in the likely event that Bourn makes the club, Eduardo A. Encina reports. Bourn hit a cool .283/.358/.435 in 24 games with the Orioles down the stretch in 2016. With Baltimore currently planning on starting Hyun-Soo Kim and Seth Smith in the corner outfield spots in 2017, they will be able to use Bourn well as a defensive replacement and fourth outfielder off the bench.

Bourn went 0-for-4 while hitting in the leadoff spot for the first time in a Baltimore uniform in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Bourn had reached base in his last six plate appearances heading into Sunday's game. He started the last four games of the season and the Orioles figure to play the matchups as postseason play begins. Bourn slashed a solid .283/.358/.435 after being acquired by Baltimore on September 1.

Bourn went 2-for-2 with a two-RBI single and two walks in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder opened the scoring with a timely two-run single in the second that plated Chris Davis and Mark Trumbo and got on base three more times in the loss as well. Bourn has back-to-back two-hit outings and has slashed .310/.388/.476 in 23 games since joining the Orioles.

Bourn started Wednesday for the first time for the Orioles and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run.
EDGE Analysis
It is a bit of a surprise it took a week for Bourn to get into the lineup. The presence of Steve Pearce, Hyun Soo Kim and Drew Stubbs on the roster could mean that Bourn falls into the situational role in which he has served so far. The injury to Chris Davis put Pearce at first base and may have opened the door for Bourn to play in left field, though Davis is expected to return Friday.

Bourn was traded to the Orioles for a minor league prospect on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Adam Jones dealing with hamstring issues, the Orioles were looking to acquire depth in center field. Bourn slashed .261/.307/362, and posted 13 stolen bases in 89 games with the Diamondbacks this season.

Bourn went 3-for-5 with three runs in Sunday's win over the Reds. He also stole a base.
EDGE Analysis
With A.J. Pollock back in the fold playing center, Bourn was bumped to right field in this one, and he eventually shifted over to left. Going forward, Bourn could lose some playing time, as the Diamondbacks look to get starts for Yasmany Tomas, Rickie Weeks and Brandon Drury in the corner outfield spots. Bourn is at least making the case for a regular role, as he's gone 17-for-54 (.315) with 10 runs over the last two weeks.

Bourn is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The two-time All-Star has picked it up offensively of late, and while A.J. Pollock (elbow) is now back as the primary center fielder, Bourn will likely remain involved with a couple starts per week. Pollock is expected to be eased back into regular duty, starting two out of every three games for the time being.
