Garza was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with a right lower leg strain.
EDGE Analysis
No word has come forth as to when the injury was sustained, although apparently it was enough to warrant a trip to the DL. The severity of the ailment is also unknown, so a timetable for his return is unclear at this point. Garza was originally scheduled to start Thursday's series finale in Washington, so the Brewers will need to find a replacement for that. Brent Suter and Wily Peralta seem like possible options for the Brewers to deploy for a spot start.

Garza (4-5) allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings to take the loss Friday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Garza gave up a two-run homer in the first inning before settling down nicely, but although he left with just a 2-1 deficit, the offense was unable to take him off the hook for the loss. Although he rarely pitches beyond the sixth inning in his starts, he's held opponents to two or fewer runs in each of his last four contests, is 3.83 ERA makes him the player who is a useful option for fantasy teams. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Nationals.

Garza held the Phillies to one run on three hits with three walks and one strikeout over five innings in Sunday's no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
This outing drops Garza's K/9 to a career-low 6.05. The veteran right-hander has posted a respectable 3.84 ERA in 77.1 innings, but he lacks upside due to an inability to miss bats. Garza will get another look at this Philadelphia lineup on the road Friday.

Garza (4-4) shut the Orioles out for 6.1 innings Wednesday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four in a 4-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
The well-traveled veteran hasn't been a fantasy asset since 2014, but he's got his numbers into borderline-useful territory -- a 3.98 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Unfortunately, counting on Garza to maintain those ratios may be a fool's errand; it's been a long time since he was a consistent performer, and he may eventually be pushed for his rotation spot.

Garza allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings but came away with a no-decision in Friday's 3-2 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty was in line for the loss after giving up two runs in the top of the fifth to break a scoreless tie, but Stephen Vogt bailed him out with his first two homers as a Brewer. Garza will take a 4.36 ERA into his next start Wednesday at home against the Orioles.

Garza (3-4) allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out four batters through six innings during Saturday's loss to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Through his past six starts, Garza has allowed 23 runs through 31.1 innings with a 1-4 record. Saturday's outing was also the first start during that stretch where he completed six innings of work. The veteran's 4.43 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 6.5 K/9 aren't go-to fantasy marks, and he's probably best left to cavernous settings going forward. A home start against the Marlins is up next for Garza.

Garza (3-3) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 5.1 innings during Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
After posting a 2.43 ERA through his first five starts of the season, Garza has now allowed 20 runs over his past five outings. His 4.42 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 6.6 K/9 for the campaign are hardly go-to fantasy marks, and outside of the deepest settings, the veteran is probably best utilized in favorable matchups only as a streaming option or as a low-priced flier in daily contests. Garza projects to make a road start at SunTrust Park against the Braves next.

Garza (3-2) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters through five innings during Wednesday's win over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers scored six runs in the first two innings, and Garza held the Cardinals to four runs through five frames to position himself for the win. He sports a 4.17 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 6.7 K/9 for the campaign, and considering his track record over the past few seasons, it will probably prove ill-advised to expect improved numbers from the veteran going forward. Garza projects to face the Pirates at Miller Park in his next start.

Garza (chest) was activated from the disabled list Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, Garza will be reinstated in order to start Wednesday's contest with the Cardinals. In his first test since incurring the injury, the veteran right-hander will face off against St. Louis righty Mike Leake. To make room for Garza on the active roster, reliever Neftali Feliz was designated for assignment.

Garza (chest) will come off the DL to start Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will miss the minimum amount of time on the 10-day DL with a chest contusion. Garza has a 3.83 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 33:12 K:BB in 44.2 innings this year, although his 4.48 xFIP and recent track record suggest that there are worse days ahead for the 33-year-old righty.
