FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Mariners are talking to the Twins about Josh Willingham. It's not surprising, as the M's have been searching for a right-handed bat and Willingham is one of the better ones available. At this point, it's not clear how far along the talks are between the two clubs. Willingham entered play Tuesday batting just .219/.361/.421, but he's slugged 10 homers over 57 games.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Yankees are showing interest in Josh Willingham. They're also considering Marlon Byrd and Alex Rios, but Willingham appears to be at the top of their list in part because he's a free agent after this season. Willingham is batting .215 10 homers in only 56 games this season, as he missed 41 contests with a fractured wrist. The 35-year-old has played in pitchers parks his entire career, so a move to Yankee Stadium would be a nice boost to his fantasy value.

Josh Willingham went 2-for-3 with a go-ahead homer off Bryan Shaw in the eighth as the Twins edged the Indians 4-2 on Monday. Willingham had been in an 11-for-89 dry spell before tonight, with just one homer since June 25. The Twins sure would like to see him find his stroke again this week and give himself some trade value in advance of the deadline.

Willingham's two-run jack in the first inning got the scoring started for the Twins, and they wound up cruising to a series win over the Jays. "Hammer" has been limited to 23 games this season due to injury but has smashed the ball when healthy, hitting .311/.459/.568 with five homers and 18 RBI.

Josh Willingham hit a three-run home run, his fourth home run of the season, against the Brewers on Tuesday. The homer was Willingham's only hit in four at-bats. The 35-year-old has raked since coming off the disabled list on May 26, as he has nine hits -- including four home runs -- in 29 at-bats. He's hitting .304/.459/.587 through 15 games.

Josh Willingham launched a game-tying solo homer in the ninth inning of Sunday's comeback win over the Yankees. Willingham led off the frame with a blast to left field off of Yankees closer David Robertson before the floodgates opened up for five additional runs. The longball was Willingham's third in his last four games, as he's already hitting for power seven games into his return from the DL.
