Josh Beckett fired a no-hitter against the Phillies on Sunday, striking out six in the Dodgers' 6-0 victory. Despite his longtime dominance, the feat was the first in Beckett's career. Beckett walked three, including Jimmy Rollins on a 3-2 pitch with two outs in the ninth inning, but froze Chase Utley for strike three to complete the 128-pitch masterpiece. The historic start was just the latest in what's been a strong season for the 34-year-old, as he lowered his ERA and WHIP to 2.43 and 1.02, respectively. His next start will come Friday at the Pirates.

Josh Beckett improved to 2-1, allowing four runs in five innings as the Dodgers defeated the Mets 9-4 on Tuesday. Beckett wasn't particularly effective, allowing eight hits -- including home runs to Curtis Granderson and Lucas Duda -- while walking two and striking out six. But he was better than Rafael Montero, which was all he needed to pick up his second win of the season. Beckett will take his 2.89 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 46/17 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Phillies on the road.

Josh Beckett allowed merely an unearned run on four hits in 6 1/3 innings to earn his first win of the season Tuesday versus the Marlins. Beckett struck out six and walked three in the date with his former club. Beckett has to be taken seriously by mixed league owners at this point. He's been dynamite since returning from the disabled list, going 1-1 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in seven starts. Beckett squares off with the Phillies this weekend.

Josh Beckett pitched eight innings and allowed just two runs Friday in a no-decision against the Rockies. Beckett was terrific tonight aside from a couple of mistakes in the second; Troy Tulowitzki and Corey Dickerson took him deep in that frame. He allowed just two other hits, and he finished with a 6/0 K/BB ratio. Overall, he has a 2.45 ERA and a 22/8 K/BB ratio in 22 innings for the season. It's almost enough to make him worthy of a mixed-league pickup, but we'd wait and see how he fares in Minnesota next week first.

Josh Beckett allowed one hit over five scoreless innings but took a no-decision in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks. Beckett struck out seven hitters, walking two while allowing just one single on the afternoon. After a poor start against the Tigers his first time out, Beckett has now allowed three hits, a 1.00 WHIP and 11 strikeouts over 10 shutout innings in his last two starts. Beckett will continue to search for his first win since September 30, 2012, when he faces the Rockies on Friday.

Josh Beckett tossed five shutout innings despite walking five batters in Tuesday's no-decision against the Giants. While the veteran missed bats -- giving up just two hits -- he was extremely fortunate to dance around all those free passes. That being said, this was an encouraging outing after the Texan was thoroughly unimpressive in his 2014 debut against the Tigers last time out. He has surrendered four earned runs over nine frames in two starts. Beckett will take a 4.00 ERA and 1.44 WHIP into a date with the struggling Diamondbacks on Sunday.

In an uneven return from the disabled list, Josh Beckett surrendered five runs -- four earned -- on five hits over four innings in a no-decision loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. Injuries to his thumb and ankle forced Beckett to miss his first start. Los Angeles didn't anticipate getting him back so soon, but accelerated the timeline due to Clayton Kershaw's injury. A lowered pitch count was expected, and Beckett was yanked after 85 unimpressive offerings. He'll try for better next week in San Francisco.

Dodgers activated RHP Josh Beckett from the 15-day disabled list. Beckett's thumb and ankle forced him to miss the start of the season, but he got through fielding drills on Tuesday and was cleared to return. He was brought back quickly due to the injury to Clayton Kershaw, so the right-hander may still be working on building up his pitch count, but the Dodgers will roll with him for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Josh Beckett (thumb, ankle) will rejoin the Dodgers' rotation on Wednesday against the Tigers. Beckett got through fielding drills Tuesday with no issues, officially clearing the way for his return. The right-hander is coming back from thoracic outlet surgery and more recently thumb and ankle injuries. It will be Beckett's first major league start since last May.

Josh Beckett (thumb, ankle) said he felt fine while going through fielding drills Tuesday. It was the last step before the Dodgers decided whether Beckett would be activated to start on Wednesday versus the Tigers. A decision has yet to officially be made, but he'll presumably be cleared for the outing. It would be his first in the majors since last May.
