Jaso will start in left field and bat fourth Wednesday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Fresh off hitting a clutch two-run home run in a pinch-hit role Tuesday, Jaso will rejoin the lineup for the first time in six games, in a prominent spot no less. It's not expected that Jaso will parlay Tuesday's heroics into regular playing time, but he could be a strong value play in DFS contests for the Wednesday slate.

Jaso belted a pinch-hit, two-run homer against the Rockies on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Since opening the season with a .111 batting average through April 28, Jaso is slashing .300/.388/.544 in his last 103 plate appearances. He's started only three games in June, however, a sign that he's likely better served in a limited capacity than as a starter.

Jaso went 2-for-2 with two RBI during Saturday's extra-innings win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso entered in the ninth inning and drove in the game-tying run, and then he singled in the bottom of the 10th inning to drive in the game-winning score. It was a rare bright spot from the veteran, though. Jaso has settled into a utility role with the Pirates and sports a .210/.307/.370 slash line for the year. It's probably wise to aim higher in the majority of fantasy settings.

Jaso will start in right field and bat sixth Sunday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
With starts in right field in five of the Pirates' last six games, Jaso seems to have settled into the strong side of a platoon with Jose Osuna at the position. Gregory Polanco (hamstring) hasn't been given a timetable for a return just yet, so Jaso should see a steady diet of at-bats against right-handed pitching for another week or more.

Jaso is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The timely hitting of rookie Jose Osuna, compounded with Jaso's .145 average, has seemed to cut into the lefty's playing time recently. Unless the veteran utility man improves at the dish, he could be in line for a more minimal role within the Pittsburgh lineup.

Jaso went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI during Saturday's win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Despite receiving semi-regular playing time (45 plate appearances), Jaso's home run and two RBI against Miami were his first tallies in both columns. He's sporting a .128/.244/.231 slash line and is currently seeing more at-bats than he should because of Pittsburgh's injury woes. From 2012 to 2016, Jaso posted a solid .368 on-base percentage with a .377 mark and .363 wOBA against right-handed hurlers. There's probably positive regression ahead, but Jaso is more of an NL-only option than a go-to starter in most mixed leagues. Still, don't overlook him as a potential low-price flier in daily contests when Pittsburgh faces a right-handed pitcher.

Jaso will bat sixth and start in right field Saturday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
He picked up his first two hits of the season Wednesday while starting in right field in St. Louis. Jaso is the only Pirates player to have faced New York starter, Michael Pineda, going 2-for-2 against the righthander. He's played complete games in only two of Pittsburgh's first 16 games but could see a slight tick up with Starling Marte suspended until after the All-Star break.

Jaso will bat sixth and make his first start in right field for the Pirates on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He's hitless in 17 at-bats after a strong spring training, but is 4-for-9 with a homer and three RBI against Wednesday starter Michael Wacha. Jaso started seven games in the outfield for Tampa Bay in 2015.

Jaso will start at first base and bat fifth Friday against the Cubs, Adam Berry of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a strong spring training, Jaso has mostly been relegated to the bench. He has one hit in 10 at-bats, appearing primarily as a defensive replacement at first base for Josh Bell. He has two hits (both doubles) in seven career at-bats versus Friday starter Kyle Hendricks.

Jaso is starting at third base against the Rays on Tuesday, the first start at the position of his professional career, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates are looking at alternative spots for Jaso this spring as he's getting squeezed out of playing time at first base by switch-hitter Josh Bell. With Jung Ho Kang unlikely to be available by Opening Day, the Pirates are looking for depth options at third base, which could make Jaso the primary backup to David Freese while Kang is on the shelf.
