Jaso is out of the lineup Wednesday against Cincinnati for the second straight day.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso wasn't included in Tuesday's lineup, but the game was ultimately rained out. The Pirates will return with the same lineup Wednesday, so Jaso will have two full days off before a likely return to action Thurdsay. On the year, Jaso is hitting .291 with 12 RBI and three home runs.

Jaso is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
With the return of Jung Ho Kang at third base, it is likely that Jaso and David Freese begin to split time at first base. Jaso is off to a great start for the Pirates, hitting .291 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and 13 runs through 29 games.

Jaso went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, two RBI and his third home run of the season in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
He's been everything the Pirates could have hoped for this season, and Jaso is now slashing .302/.370/.472 on the season with 12 RBI and 13 runs scored in 28 games out of the leadoff spot. Josh Bell is making a little noise at Triple-A, but Jaso isn't in danger of losing his spot at first base any time soon.

Jaso went 2-for-4 with an RBI, walk and run scored in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates' veteran leadoff man is 3-for-8 over the first two games of the series against the Cardinals, and is starting to see his average creep back up after a 1-for-15 stretch earlier in the month dropped his average almost 30 points to .277. He still has a ways to go to get back to the level of success he'd achieved earlier in the season, as he's only slashing .174/.240/.304 over 23 May at-bats.

Jaso is in the midst of a 4-for-33 slump, though two of those hits have been home runs.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso will likely start Friday with righty Carlos Martinez on the mound. While he's cooled off at the plate, he's played a smooth first base and has yet to make an error.

Jaso is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, according to MLB.com's Adam Berry.
EDGE Analysis
As has been the case the previous four times a left-hander started against the Pirates this season, Jaso will open on the bench Wednesday with Pittsburgh facing southpaw Jon Lester. Sean Rodriguez will take his place at first base, and Jordy Mercer will replace him atop the order.

Jaso went 1-for-6 with a solo homer Sunday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso's second homer of the season tied the game in the ninth inning to force extra innings in a game the Pirates would go on to lose. He's now homered in back-to-back games to bring his slugging percentage to .471.

Jaso went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
After coming in to the season with 38 career homers, the veteran had been unable to do anything long ball-wise in his first campaign in a Pirates uniform. He wasted no time finally breaking the ice Saturday, as he opened the game with by launching a solo blast off Alfredo Simon. Jaso has otherwise been very effective in the leadoff spot for Pittsburgh, slashing .316/.389/.456 over 79 at-bats and striking out only eight times on the season.

Jaso is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso has been hitting very well atop the Pirates lineup this season, posting a .338/.403/.456 slash line so far, but this marks the fourth time in seven days that he's sat out, presumably due to a plethora of left-handed pitchers going for Pittsburgh's opposition. With lefty Jorge De La Rosa taking the ball for Colorado on Tuesday, Jason Rogers will take over at first base in Jaso's stead.

Jaso is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jaso's grip on the every day first base job isn't necessarily slipping, but he will have now ridden the pine in three of the last five games. The matchups are likely to blame here, as each of those days off has came with a southpaw on the hill for the opposing team. Look for Jaso to return to action during the upcoming four-game series against Colorado, where he should provide noteworthy fantasy returns in the hitter-friendly Coors field.
