Weaver (7-7) allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings to earn the win Wednesday at the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver was given a 7-0 lead before giving up a solo homer to Logan Forsythe, and he easily collected his seventh win of the year. This was only the second time he's fired a quality start over his last six outings, and his ERA is now at 5.27. His next start will be after the All-Star break.

Weaver was roughed up by the Astros on Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits in just 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
He walked four while striking out three in the contest. Weaver simply hasn't been able to fool hitters in 2016, as his HR/9 rate stands at a bloated 1.9, and he has allowed at least four runs in four of six starts this month. Weaver pitched a three-hit shutout as recently as 10 days ago, but it should be abundantly clear by his overall body of work that the outing was the exception rather than the rule. He will take a 5.51 ERA into his start against the Rays next week.

Weaver (6-7) pitched 5.1 innings, allowing six runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out three in Wednesday's loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros have owned him this season, and avoiding Houston in the future might be the best idea for Weaver's fantasy owners. In two starts against Houston, the 33-year-old is 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA and an atrocious 6:7 K:BB over 11.1 innings. Overall, he has a 5.51 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 54 strikeouts through 16 starts (94.2 innings). Battling through his 11th MLB season, Weaver is obviously in the final stages of his career and requires careful planning to successfully deploy him in fantasy lineups.

Weaver allowed four runs on eight hits in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He struck out four and walked one in the contest. Weaver may have expected a different result after tossing a complete game against Oakland in his last start, but a 36 percent hard contact rate and 13 percent strikeout rate will likely make it difficult to produce consistent results. The soft-tosser should be able to frustrate lineups on occasion, but his 5.24 ERA tells us that he has been getting hit more often than not. He will look for a better result when he faces the Astros next week.

Weaver (6-6) fired a three-hit shutout with one walk and one strikeout to earn the win Sunday at the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver only needed 95 pitches to take care of the Athletics, and the offense gave him a pair of runs, to move the righty's record to .500 on the year. The shutout comes on the heels of him allowing 11 earned runs in 11.1 innings of work over his last two starts, and lowered his ERA to 5.10. He'll make his next start Friday against the Athletics.

Weaver (5-6) gave up six runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings in Monday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver gave up two home runs for the third straight start and the fifth time since May 12. He has now allowed 18 homers in 75.2 innings this year -- more than two per nine innings. It's hard to imagine him lowering his 5.71 ERA without keeping the ball in the yard, and it's hard to imagine him managing that unless he can summon a fastball with more oomph than the 84.6 mph average he mustered Monday night.

Weaver (5-5) lasted 5.1 innings, allowing six runs, nine hits and two walks while striking out two in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Weaver had been showing signs of improvement since a May 12 disaster against the Cardinals, but Yankee Stadium was an inconvenient place to continue his string of decent performances. He now has an 8.92 ERA in six career starts at the Bombers' new stadium. It is the highest ERA for a pitcher with at least 30 innings in the venue, which opened in 2009. Fortunately for his owners, Weaver will head home for his next start against the Twins on Monday.

Weaver, who earned his fifth win of the season Friday night against Pittsburgh, said he's still dealing with tightness, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The tightness that Weaver is referring to is likely referring to the neck injury he dealt with during spring training. With 14 homers allowed in 64.1 innings this season, Weaver has carried a bloated 5.18 ERA through 11 starts. He'll have his hands full at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday in his next scheduled start.

Weaver (4-4) allowed four runs on six hits, struck out three and walked three over six innings in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander continues to struggle in multiple areas. Weaver has now allowed eight homers in his last 30 innings. For the season, his HR/9 is a career-high 1.9. Weaver also has six walks versus just 11 strikeouts in his last three outings and on Saturday, he induced only three swing-and-misses. All these problems are at least partially due to the lower velocity Weaver has shown this season. He will look to get on track in his next start Friday against the Pirates.

Weaver held the Orioles in check in route to his fourth win of the season Sunday, allowing two runs with a season-high six strikeouts compared to just one walk across seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
It was perhaps the best all-around start of the season for the veteran, who matched his season high in innings pitched and was only scored upon via a home run by Jonathan Schoop. Weaver has now tossed three quality starts in his last four outings, lowering his season ERA to 5.33, and he will look to continue his recent success Saturday versus the struggling Astros.
