Peavy (5-9) allowed six runs on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over five innings in a loss Monday to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Peavy may have given up just four hits, but three of them were home runs, and that was enough to sink him. He has now allowed five homers in his past two starts and has allowed multiple home runs four times this season. With his fastball averaging a career low 88.8 mph, Peavy's margin for error is as low as it has ever been, and when he's missing in the zone, disaster will strike.

Peavy (5-8) pitched six innings, allowing four runs on three hits and one walk while striking out six in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Peavy, a key member of Boston's 2013 World Series champions, held his former team to three hits, but two of those left the park. David Ortiz, who entered the game without an extra-base hit in his career against Peavy, dealt a crushing blow with his fourth-inning three-run homer. The 14-year veteran now owns a 5.15 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 19 starts this season. He'll toe the rubber for his next start Monday at home against the Reds.

Peavy allowed two runs on seven hits, struck out three and walked one over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pretty much cruised through the first three frames, but ran into trouble in the fourth, allowing a pair of runs. When two of the first three Diamondbacks batters reached in the fifth, Peavy was yanked from the game. San Francisco was leading at the time, but he failed to go the minimal five innings to qualify for the win. He is 5-7 with a 5.09 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 72 strikeouts in 93.2 innings this season.

Peavy (5-7) allowed just one run on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 6.2 innings in Monday's win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Peavy bounced back well from a 3.1-inning start last time out against Oakland to record his fourth quality start in his last five chances. In his past eight starts, Peavy has found a groove, as he now has a 4-2 record with a 2.27 ERA and a 33:11 K:BB over 47.2 innings. Still, his opening to the year was so bad he owns just a 5.04 overall ERA in 2016.

Peavy struggled Wednesday at Oakland, allowing seven runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks with no strikeouts over 3.1 innings to drop to 4-7 this season.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the off night, Peavy has allowed three runs or less in seven of his last 10 starts. He'll look to rebound at home Monday against Colorado.

Peavy (4-6) tossed seven strong innings in Friday's win over the Phillies. He gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
It looked like Peavy was in the twilight stage of his career after posting an 8.31 ERA in the month of April. He has really turned things around since then, lowering his overall ERA to 5.22 and posting a 1.91 ERA over his last six starts. Peavy doesn't possess elite strikeout stuff, but he can be useful in the right matchups, especially when pitching in the friendly confines of AT&T Park. He will look to continue his recent string of quality starts when the Giants take on the Athletics on Wednesday.

Peavy (3-6) turned in six strong innings Sunday, allowing just one run on four hits and a walk while striking out eight, but he came away with a no-decision in a 5-1 win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants broke the game open in the eighth inning, leaving Peavy without a win despite his fifth quality start in his last seven trips to the mound. His 5.47 ERA doesn't look pretty, but it's a vast improvement on the grotesque 9.00 mark he held after his first six starts of the year. He'll try to keep his momentum going in a favorable matchup at home against the Phillies on Friday.

Peavy will start Sunday against Tampa Bay, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants are going with Albert Suarez for Saturday's game and will start Peavy on Sunday in a matchup against Jake Odorizzi. Peavy has been up and down throughout the 2016 season, but he did manage to throw six innings of shutout baseball against the Dodgers last weekend.

Peavy was excellent Sunday versus the Dodgers, allowing just four hits and one walk across six scoreless innings to earn his third win of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran needed just 90 pitches to make it through six frames, throwing 57 for strikes, and he aided his own cause by making a couple of great plays in the field. Peavy has been wildly inconsistent on the whole this season, but he has tossed three quality starts in his last four tries and has lowered his ERA to 5.83. He will have the opportunity to continue his recent success, as his next start will come Saturday at the Rays.

Peavy (2-6) pitched five innings, allowing four runs, five hits and two walks while striking out five in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran entered the bottom of the sixth with a 3-1 lead, but gave up two doubles and a walk to the first three batters he face. Pulled from the game with a 3-2 victory, the bullpen couldn't get out of the right-hander's jam, leaving Peavy with his fifth loss in his last six decisions. He's posting the worst numbers of his career and can't be trusted in virtually all formats at this point.
