Hiroki Kuroda got the no-decision, allowing one run in 6 2/3 innings in Tuesday's 10-inning loss to the Athletics. Kuroda pitched well, making only one mistake: a fifth-inning solo home run to Brandon Moss. The Yankees weren't doing much offensively, unfortunately for the right-hander. Overall, Kuroda allowed only two hits, walked one, and struck out two. He'll take his 4.27 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 51/12 K/BB ratio in 72 2/3 innings into his next start against the Royals on the road.

Hiroki Kuroda picked up a win after allowing three runs in 5 2/3 innings versus the Cardinals on Wednesday. This is the typical Kuroda start this year. In fact, his ERA was left virtually unchanged by the performance, going from 4.55 to 4.57. He's still adequate for the Yankees, but he's only a spot starter in mixed leagues.

Hiroki Kuroda allowed four runs (two earned) in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Friday. It was his shortest outing since April 25. Kuroda threw 100 pitches and couldn't make it out of the fifth inning. He gave up eight hits (including a two-run homer to Alexei Ramirez) and two walks before being pulled. The veteran right-hander has a 4.55 ERA in 10 starts this season and continues to be a risky play in mixed leagues.

Hiroki Kuroda yielded three runs in six innings Sunday to pick up a win in the first game of a doubleheader against the Pirates. Kuroda struck out seven. He has a much improved 25/3 K/BB ratio over his last four starts after coming in at 18/6 over the first five. Kuroda will face the White Sox in Chicago next time out. That's an easier assignment with Jose Abreu out, but it still doesn't make him a great play in mixed leagues.

Hiroki Kuroda gave up four runs in six innings Monday in a no-decision against the Mets. Pretty typical from Kuroda these days. He's allowed four runs in half of his starts, and he's made it through seven innings just once. That's not to say he's been awful: he has a 36/7 K/BB ratio in 48 1/3 IP. But it doesn't seem like he's going to return to early-2013 form.

Hiroki Kuroda struck out eight and allowed only one unearned run over 7 2/3 innings of work in a Tuesday no-decision win in Los Angeles against the Angels. The Japanese right-hander held the Halos, who punched the scoreboard for two more unearned scores against Kuroda, to five hits and zero walks. It was easily Kuroda's best start of the year, a season which has had a surprising amount of misadventure for the long-time frontline starter. He entered this game with a 5.14 ERA but slashed it to 4.43. Kuroda looks to carry the momentum as he squares off across Bartolo Colon in a Subway showdown on Monday.

Hiroki Kuroda took the loss in Thursday's start against the Mariners, allowing four runs (three earned) in six innings. Thursday's outing marked the third time out of six starts in which Kuroda allowed four or more runs. Overall, he allowed seven hits and walked one while striking out seven. Kuroda now has a 25/7 K/BB ratio in 35 innings. If there is a positive takeaway, it's that the seven punch-outs are a season-high for the 39-year-old.

Hiroki Kuroda was rocked for six runs over just 4 2/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Angels. Kuroda gave up 10 hits, including a pair of home runs. The 39-year-old right-hander now holds a 5.28 ERA through five starts and hasn't completed seven innings in any of them. We expect him to be better as the season moves along, but the slow start is discouraging.

Hiroki Kuroda yielded three runs in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Friday night. Kuroda left with the lead, but the Yankees' bullpen imploded in the late innings. The veteran right-hander gave up seven hits and two walks and struck out two batters. Kuroda hasn't completed seven innings yet this season, but has yet to throw a true clunker either. He'll carry a 4.07 ERA into a start against the Red Sox in Boston next week.

Hiroki Kuroda wasn't at his best against the Red Sox on Saturday, but managed to walk away with the victory after allowing four runs on six hits in his 6 1/3 innings of work. Kuroda walked three and struck out five on the afternoon. He allowed a two-run homer to A.J. Pierzynski in the second inning, then held the Red Sox off the board until Matt Thornton allowed a pair of his inherited runners to score in the seventh. Kuroda, now 2-1 on the season, will carry a 3.86 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio into his next outing against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Friday.
