Hiroki Kuroda was blasted for seven runs over six innings in a loss to the Rays on Friday. Coming into Friday's action, Kuroda hadn't allowed home run since June 30, but he matched a career-high by giving up four of them on Friday. The seven runs allowed also matched a career-high. The veteran right-hander has allowed 10 earned runs in 11 innings over his last two starts, increasing his ERA from 2.33 to 2.71. The Yankees and fantasy owners will have to hope for a return to form next week against the Blue Jays.

Hiroki Kuroda let in five runs -- three earned -- in 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Red Sox. Kuroda surrendered 11 hits -- a career-high -- in what was probably his ugliest outing since joining the Yankees. He'll look to bounce back next week against Toronto.

Hiroki Kuroda allowed three runs over seven innings in a loss to the White Sox on Tuesday. By his standards it was a subpar start for the 38-year-old. Kuroda gave up nine hits, the highest total he's allowed all year, while walking one and striking out four. It was Kuroda's first loss since June, and despite his 2.45 ERA he's now 10-7 on the year. He'll look to get back in the win column Monday against the Angels.

Hiroki Kuroda held the Red Sox to two runs over seven innings Saturday in the Yankees' 5-2 win. Kuorda didn't allow those runs until the bottom of the seventh and struck out four batters while issuing only one walk. He has a 0.95 ERA over his last 19 frames and a 2.65 ERA on the season. The right-hander has always been good, but he's having a true breakout summer at the age of 38. The Rangers are up next.

Hiroki Kuroda tossed five scoreless innings in Friday's 2-0 win over the Twins. Kuroda made it through four innings before a 73-minute rain delay. However, he was surprisingly brought back for the fifth in order to qualify for the win. The veteran right-hander gave up six hits and two walks while striking out five and now leads the American League with a 2.65 ERA. Somehow that's not good enough to be an All-Star.

Hiroki Kuroda held the Orioles scoreless on just three hits and a walk over seven innings in Sunday's loss. He struck out four. Unfortunately for Kuroda's fantasy owners, they lost out on a win after Mariano Rivera suffered a rare blown save. Kuroda was pulled after throwing just 88 pitches, as the Yankees likely wanted to take it easy on him in his first start back from a sore hip flexor. Kuroda's final start before the All-Star break will come at home against the Twins.

Hiroki Kuroda will start Sunday against the Orioles. Kuroda was scratched from his start Friday with a hip flexor injury, but was cleared to return after making it through a bullpen session without any issues. Phil Hughes will pitch on six days rest and be pushed back to Monday.
