Aybar is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
After making eight straight starts for the Braves at shortstop, Aybar will get the afternoon off in favor of Chase d'Arnaud. Since returning from the DL, Aybar is 12-for-40 at the plate (.300) with five doubles.

Aybar went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in a 13-inning win against the Reds on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Even Aybar's first three-hit performance of the year wasn't enough to drag his average over the Mendoza line, which he's been under since April 12, but hey, he's darn close at .199 now. It seems too early for Aybar to have declined as steeply as he has, but indeed, at the tender age of 32, he's already become useless in nearly all fantasy formats. Even his meager power is gone (no homers), and his speed has abandoned him too (2-for-5 on steals).

Aybar returned to action Wednesday against the Reds, hitting eighth and manning shortstop.
EDGE Analysis
He was scratched Tuesday with an undisclosed ailment, but made it back into the mix Wednesday. There are reasons to expect Aybar's .187 average to tick up as the season progresses -- namely a .227 BABIP (.301 for his career) -- but he is on pace for his lowest steals total since 2008 (just two in 46 games) and he has never been much of a power threat.

Aybar was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds for undisclosed reasons, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
In Aybar's stead, Jace Peterson will step in at shortstop and will bat eighth. It's likely that there will be an update regarding Aybar's scratch in the near future.

Aybar (foot) was activated from the 15-day DL Sunday, MLB.com's Kevin McAlpin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar suffered a bruised right foot when he was hit by a pitch in late-May, but he'll return to action after the 15-day minimum stay. The Braves will waste no time getting Aybar back into action, as he'll bat eighth in the order and start at shortstop Sunday against the Cubs, according to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Look for Aybar, who was 5-for-29 during a rehab stint, to see regular starts at shortstop moving forward.

Aybar (foot) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Less than a week removed from officially landing on the DL, Aybar is ready to return to active competition. He suffered a bruised right foot as result of a hit-by-pitch late last month, but Aybar appears on track to be activated when first eligible.

Aybar (foot) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar was hit by a pitch in Friday's series opener with Marlins, and sustained a right foot contusion. Shortly after being declared out of the lineup Saturday the Braves announced they placed him on the disabled list. Aybar had X-rays taken following Friday's game, which fortunately came back negative. Chase d-Arnaud is drawing the start at shortstop for the Braves Saturday, but both he and Daniel Castro should see some time there while Aybar is out.

Aybar (foot) is not in the lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar suffered a right foot contusion after being hit by a pitch in Friday's game. Fortunately, X-rays on his foot came back negative, so he avoided a serious issue. Consider him day-to-day going forward with a potential return date as early as Sunday's series finale.

Aybar left Friday's game with a right foot contusion.
EDGE Analysis
His season-long struggles have been compounded recently by a run of bad luck -- Aybar missed a start last week after getting a chicken bone stuck in his throat -- but it seems the shortstop has avoided a serious injury. X-rays were negative after Aybar was hit by an Adam Conley pitch in the fourth inning of Friday's game.

Aybar left Friday's game in the fifth inning after being hit by a pitch, David O'Brien of Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar was 0-for-1 prior to leaving the game. He was replaced in the lineup by Daniel Castro. His status for Saturday's matchup is up in the air. Expect an update when more information becomes available.
