Aybar is out of the lineup Monday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar has gotten off to a putrid start to the season, batting .136 in 17 games, and now he'll sit out for the second day in a row. Daniel Castro will play shortstop once again while Jace Peterson fills in at second base.

EDGE Analysis
Aybar has started 16 of the first 17 games of the season, but will get a routine day off for the afternoon matchup after going hitless in back-to-back contests. Daniel Castro will take over for him at shortstop, while Kelly Johnson mans the keystone.

Aybar is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar will get the day off while Daniel Castro steps in for the spot start. The 32-year-old is struggling through the first two weeks of the season, hitting just .167/.184/.167, so a day off could prove to be useful in getting him back on track.

Aybar is 5-for-25 (.200) with a stolen base, RBI and two runs through the first six games of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The slow start is a bit unusual for Aybar, as he is a career .280 hitter in the first half, which includes a .272 lifetime batting average in April, but Atlanta has generated very little offense as a team. The Braves have averaged just 3.5 runs per game and currently own the worse run differential in the league. It's too early to say Aybar won't turn it around, but it could be a long summer for Atlanta.

Aybar is 4-for-12 with two doubles and one RBI through four games this spring.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar had a solid season for the Angels in 2015, hitting .270 with 15 stolen bases while posting an impressive 88 percent contact rate. The 32-year-old has been extremely consistent over the course of his career and will look to continue that trend in his first season as the Braves'starting shortstop.

Aybar was traded to the Braves on Thursday, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Angels and Braves swapped shortstops in the deal, with Aybar heading to Atlanta with some other of the Angels' prospects. Aybar should remain a starting shortstop with this move to Atlanta, and he'll hope to build off of his .301 OBP and 15 steals that he posted in 2015 with the Angels.

Aybar went 2-for-5 Saturday with two runs scored and a solo shot, his third home run of the season.
EDGE Analysis
His homer sparked a five-run ninth inning rally that kept the Angels wild card hopes alive. Aybar's now put together a nine-game hitting streak to close out the season.

Aybar went 3-for-4 with a run scored in a 5-2 victory over the Twins on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar has now hit safely in his last four games after an abysmal 7-for-47 start to September. The veteran shortstop is hitting .368 (7-for-19) over the span of his modest hitting streak, and may be regaining some of the success he enjoyed at the plate for the majority of the 2015 campaign prior to September. Aybar's power, always limited throughout his 10-year career, has been even more abbreviated this season, but he has scored 66 runs and has also posted double-digit steals for the third consecutive season.

Aybar went 2-for-4 with two doubles in a 3-1 loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Aybar is just 7-for-47 in September, but this performance was a good sign going forward. It's been a down season for the shortstop, as he has just two homers and 11 steals in 139 games played this season. Aybar did report that some injuries were bothering him last month and that very well may have slowed down his whole season.
