Fister will start Thursday's game against the White Sox since Cole Hamels was scratched with neck stiffness.
EDGE Analysis
Fister will go on normal rest after pitching Saturday in Houston. Over seven starts this season, Fister has logged a 4.06 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with a 29:15 K:BB across 37.2 innings.

Fister (1-4) took the loss against the Astros on Saturday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over 6.1 innings while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran threw only 53 of 96 pitches for strikes and got hit hard when he was getting the ball over the plate, serving up homers to Brian McCann and Evan Gattis, but he was still able to deliver his second quality start of the season. Fister will look for a better result, or at least more run support, in his next outing Friday on the road against the White Sox.

Fister (1-3) picked up the loss Sunday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five across 6.1 innings against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Fister's ERA jumped from 2.88 to 4.02 ERA after allowing a season-high six earned runs to Boston. He was chased from the ballgame with one out in the seventh inning after giving up a solo home run to J.D. Martinez, which put the Red Sox up 6-0. The 34-year-old's next start is expected to come Saturday against the Astros.

Fister (1-2) allowed two runs (none earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.2 innings in Tuesday's win over the Indians. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Fister held the Indians scoreless through the first six innings but allowed two runs to come across in the seventh on a couple of hits and a throwing error. He was in line to pick up his second winning decision of the season before closer Keone Kela blew a four-run lead in the ninth. Fister owns a strong 2.88 ERA on the year but is averaging just five innings and four strikeouts per start, thus severely capping his fantasy value. He draws a tough test in his next start Sunday against the Red Sox.

Fister (hip) was activated off the 10-day disabled list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the veteran starter will come back from injury to take his spot in the Rangers' rotation. Fister will take on Kendall Graveman and the Athletics in his first start since April 9.

Fister (hip) will be activated from the disabled list Wednesday and will start that day against Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Fister has been out since April 10 with a strained right hip. The veteran righty was off to a solid start before his injury, tossing 13.2 innings with a 3.95 ERA.

Fister (hip) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session Sunday and could be activated from the 10-day disabled list to start Wednesday against the Athletics, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The bullpen session was Fister's second in three days and suggests that he'll likely be able to avoid a rehab assignment if his strained right hip provides no unexpected complications over the next few days. Fister's return would afford an extra two days of rest for Mike Minor, who the Rangers have been reluctant to use on a normal four-day rest schedule between starts while the left-hander has transitioned from a bullpen to a rotation role.

Fister (hip) tossed a 58-pitch bullpen session Friday and will be evaluated by the team to determine his next step, TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fister was placed on the disabled list last Tuesday due to a hip strain and was finally able to resume throwing after giving his body a week to rest. It has yet to be decided whether he will require a rehab appearance at the minor-league level, but there will likely be an update on his status within the next couple days.

Fister (hip) has not yet begun a throwing program, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fister is eligible to come of the disabled list this coming Saturday, but given he's not throwing yet, it's a good bet he'll be out another week beyond the minimum. This means Bartolo Colon will remain in the rotation for at least another two weeks, though probably longer if he continues to pitch as he did Sunday.

Fister (hip) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers made a pair of DL moves Tuesday with both Fister and Rougned Odor (hamstring) landing on the shelf. Fister is dealing with a hip strain, which leaves the Rangers in a lurch as far as their rotation goes for the time being. Bartolo Colon is one option currently on the 25-man roster that could fill in for a spot start, however.
