Manager Robin Ventura said he may use Navarro as the team's DH on occasion, the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Generally managers avoid starting their catchers in the DH slot, but Ventura said he is confident in the team's emergency options. Right now there is not a clear delineation in playing time between Alex Avila and Navarro, so getting both some at-bats would be useful.

Navarro fouled a ball off his left ankle Sunday and will not play Monday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro did not seem concerned about his injury and is reportedly dealing with only a bruise, but he will be held out at least one day to rest and recover.

Navarro went 2-for-2 in the White Sox's Cactus League Opener on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro enters the spring in competition with Alex Avila for starts behind the plate. Manager Robin Ventura has yet to delineate how the playing time will shake out between the two, and the position could become something of a platoon.

The White Sox have reached an agreement to sign Navarro to a one-year deal Thursday, the Chicago Tribune's Colleen Kane reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old switch-hitting backstop is expected to be used in a platoon with left-handed hitting Alex Avila, who signed a one-year contract last week. Navarro played sparingly last season as Russell Martin's backup in Toronto, but he has a .270/.336/.439 career slash line against southpaws, so he should see a couple starts each week with the White Sox, particularly when a lefty is on the mound.

Navarro went 1-for-5 with his fifth home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro now has a six-game hitting streak going, hitting 10-for-25 (.400) over that span with two home runs and three RBI. Navarro will still struggle to get consistent at-bats, but strong play down the stretch will keep him as a viable option come playoff time.

Navarro went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored and two RBI in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro hasn't been playing much in September, with just 20 at-bats all month across five games. However, in those five games, he's 9-of-20 with a home run, two doubles and two runs scored. With Russell Martin entrenched as the starting catcher, Navarro will be left as a late-game replacement and occasional spot starter.

Navarro went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Rays. On a night where Chris Archer was virtually un-hittablegiving up just three hits and one earned run across eight inningsNavarro had his number, collecting two of the three hits off him. Navarro also hit his second home run in as many days and has worked up to a solid .270/.315/.413 slash line. If he can lay claim to the designated hitter role while spelling Russell Martin once or twice a week, at-bats should come fairly regularly despite being supplanted as the starting catcher.

Navarro went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, a RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over the Rays. Giving Russell Martin a rare day off, Navarro made the most of his opportunity, coming a triple away from the cycle. With at bats coming at a premium, it's a positive sign for him to convert on his chances like he did on Monday. The 31-year-old could be a candidate to get moved at the trade deadline, particularly if he can show he's healthy and productive. A trade to a place where he could be the everyday catcher would boost his fantasy value considerably as he's caught just eight games this season, both due to the presence of Martin and his health.

Navarro (hamstring) was activated from the disabled list after the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports. As expected, Navarro replaces Josh Thole on the 25-man roster, joining his teammates for the first time since Apr. 21. It remains to be seen if Navarro will be in the starting lineup for the second game of the doubleheader, but Russell Martin seems more likely to get the start, with Navarro likely available as a pinch-hitter.

Navarro (hamstring) will be activated for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Shi Davidi of SportsNet reports. With Josh Thole starting the first game of the doubleheader, it seems likely Russell Martin will start over Navarro in the second game. Navarro should be available off the bench, and he'll probably get a start at some point this week or weekend.
