Navarro is out of the lineup Thursday against the Red Soxs, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro has gone 3-for-18 in the past five games. The veteran catcher will get the night off with Hector Sanchez behind the plate and in the No. 8 spot as he faces left-hander Henry Owens and the Red Soxs.

Navarro went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk, and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-1 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The bottom third of Chicago's order combined for seven hits and drove in six runs, with Navarro doing roughly a third of that damage himself out of the eight spot. He got off to an excruciatingly slow start, but has been better of late with five of his six RBI coming in the last four games.

Navarro was added to the lineup Monday after Kevan Smith was scratched due to back spasms.
EDGE Analysis
As a result of the change, Navarro will hit eighth for the White Sox while Austin Jackson drops to the No. 9 spot.

Navarro went 1-for-1 with a homer, two RBI and a walk Sunday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro's first blast of the season tied the game in the third inning, and his sacrifice fly gave the team an important insurance run in a game they'd go on to win. He's only collected four hits in 31 at-bats this season, but he's collected two hits and three of his four RBI in his last two games.

Navarro will serve as the White Sox's catcher in Sunday's game against the Rangers and will bat seventh in the order, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the White Sox placing Alex Avila (hamstring) on the DL on Sunday, Navarro is now positioned to see the bulk of the starts at catcher after working in a timeshare with Avila so far this season. Perhaps consistent playing time will be exactly what Navarro needs to get going, as he's notched just three hits in 30 at-bats.

Starting pitcher Mat Latos said he feels more comfortable throwing to Navarro (than fellow catcher Alex Avila), as the two have a relationship dating back to their days with the Reds, the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Robin Ventura has yet to make many delineations between his two catchers in terms of playing time, obliquely saying before the season that he would utilize match-ups and the hot-hand. If Ventura respects Latos' preference, then that will be at least one turn through the rotation that goes in Navarro's favor on a regular basis (as long as Latos is in the rotation).

Navarro is out of Friday's lineup against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
He has started two of the White Sox's first five games, with Alex Avila taking the early lead in appearances among Chicago's backstops. It should be a relatively even timeshare early on, although Navarro has a chance to get some starts at DH in addition to his catching duties, which is something Avila can't claim.

Navarro is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Navarro was a surprise starter on Opening Day ahead of Alex Avila, but he failed to get on base in the contest, going 0-for-4. Avila will slot into the lineup behind the plate in his stead Tuesday and bat eighth.

Navarro will get the start at catcher and hit eighth Monday against the A's, CSN Chicago's Dan Hayes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Alex Avila was previously reported to be the starter on Opening Day, but something happened behind the scenes to change that. Navarro is probably the better bet to be useful offensively, but the two should have a pretty even timeshare in the early going, although Navarro is also an option to get a handful of at-bats at DH.
