Dayan Viciedo (thumb) is in Saturday's lineup. Viciedo was scratched from Friday's game due to a lingering thumb injury, but it's not a major concern. He returns to a .244/.288/.397 batting line over 315 at-bats.

Dayan Viciedo was a late scratch from the White Sox' lineup Friday. No word on the reason for the scratch, but it's possible Viciedo's left thumb is bothering him again. The club should update his status shortly. Jordan Danks replaced him in the lineup, playing center field while Alejandro De Aza moves to left.

Dayan Viciedo is considered day-to-day with a jammed left thumb. Viciedo had to leave Monday's game after jamming his thumb on an attempt at a diving catch, but X-rays came back negative and he'll be fine. Alejandro De Aza took his place in the lineup, moving Casper Wells from center to left field.

Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-4 with a home run in a loss to the Tigers on Wednesday. After hitting just five home runs and struggling for much of the first three months, Viciedo now has four homers in July. He scored the White Sox' only two runs of the game, and the run batted in was his 31st of the year.

Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-4 with two home runs as the White Sox beat the Tigers on Tuesday. After hitting 25 homers last year, Viciedo had struggled to just five home runs before Tuesday's power surge. He's bound to have some better luck at some point, so it might be a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor before more fly balls start to find the seats for the 24-year-old.

Dayan Viciedo tripled with the bases loaded in the sixth to lead the White Sox to a 4-2 win over the Astros on Monday. Viciedo saved the White Sox from what might have been a four-game sweep in Houston. The Astros got all of their runs in the sixth off Bud Norris. The triple was Vicedeo's third in 261 major league games, and it gave him his first multi-RBI game since May 15. That was also the day on which he last homered.

Dayan Viciedo went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and committed an error in left field in Wednesday's loss. Viciedo got turned around on David Dejesus's fly to deep left to start the game and was charged with an error when it went off his glove. Viciedo's defense is easy enough to shrug off when he's hitting, but his OPS is down 100 points over the last two weeks and he's gone seven straight games without driving in a run. More consistency would be nice.

Dayan Viciedo went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI Wednesday versus the Twins. Viciedo has been hot since coming off the DL, going 8-for-18 with two homers and six RBI in six games. The real oddity, though, is that he has five walks during that span. He had a 16/0 K/BB ratio in 13 games before getting hurt. Last year, he had a 120/28 K/BB ratio in 505 at-bats.
