Dayan Viciedo was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to tightness in his left lower hamstring. It's not clear when Viciedo suffered the injury, nor is it known how long he might be sidelined. The White Sox should have an update on the outfield's status later Wednesday. Moises Sierra is covering fro Viciedo in right field.

Dayan Vicedo went 1-for-3 and delivered an RBI double off Felix Hernandez in the eighth inning on Saturday. It was his lone hit in three at-bats on the afternoon, but broke a scoreless tie and nearly delivered the White Sox the ballgame until the Mariners mounted a comeback in the ninth inning. A popular name mentioned among trade rumors these days, Viciedo is now hitting .252/.303/.424 on the season with 10 homers and 31 RBI.

Dayan Viciedo went 4-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored against the Mariners on Friday. Viciedo launched a solo homer in the fourth inning to begin the scoring for the White Sox. He also finished with three singles. The 25-year-old has really dropped off since the start of the season, but he has four home runs in his last seven games to bring his total up to 10 for the year. There's increased chatter that he could be a trade target in advance of the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.

Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Mariners and Giants have had trade discussions with the White Sox regarding Dayan Viciedo. Edes also indicates that the Red Sox could have interest in the outfielder, as they pursued him heavily out of Cuba and are in need of right-handed power. The Mariners have discussed sending Brandon Maurer and another player to the White Sox for Viciedo, Edes says. Viciedo is making just $2.8 million this season and is under team control through 2017.

Dayan Viciedo went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the second game of the White Sox' doubleheader against the Angels on Tuesday. Viciedo connected with a Jered Weaver pitch for his ninth home run of the season. It was the outfielder's third blast in his last five games after hitting just one in the month prior. Overall, Viciedo is hitting .245/.298/.409 and isn't worth the hassle outside of AL-only leagues.

Dayan Viciedo blasted a three-run homer on Saturday, powering the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays in Toronto. Dayan Viciedo had two hits including a two-run home run in the White Sox' 8-2 win over the Giants on Tuesday. Viciedo also scored two runs in the victory. It was a rare bright spot in what's been mostly dark times for the 25-year-old this month. After Tuesday's game, Viciedo is just 6-for-52 (.115) with two RBI and two runs scored in June. The slump hasn't cut into his playing time, though, so AL-only managers can't cut ties with him just yet.

Dayan Viciedo went 2-for-4 with a double in Sunday's loss to the Angels. The hits were his first in six games, as he'd been 0-for-21 in the five games prior to Sunday. He hasn't seen his playing time dip much as a result of his struggles, but with Alejandro De Aza finally pulling out of his funk Viciedo could lose some at-bats if he doesn't quickly regain his early form. Perhaps Sunday was a sign of better times to come for Viciedo.
