White Sox placed OF Dayan Viciedo on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain. Viciedo was hoping to avoid the DL, but oblique injuries have a tendency to keep players out for longer than expected. Dewayne Wise and Jordan Danks should see the majority of playing time while Viciedo is sidelined. The White Sox have recalled Blake Tekotte from Triple-A Charlotte to take his spot on the active roster.

Dayan Viciedo will undergo treatment on his left oblique strain Friday and is considered day-to-day. Viciedo is hopeful of avoiding a stint on the disabled list, and just the fact that he wasn't placed on it immediately, which is often the case with oblique strains, is a good sign. At the very least, though, he should be sidelined for a handful of games.

Dayan Viciedo has been diagnosed with a strained left oblique and will be re-evaluated on Friday. Viciedo looked to be in a ton of pain when he suffered the injury, and a trip to the disabled list seems to be highly likely. Dewayne Wise and Jordan Danks should see more playing time while Viciedo is on the shelf.

Dayan Viciedo left Thursday's game against the Blue Jays with an apparent left oblique injury. Viciedo went down after a violent swing, grabbing his side. If he indeed suffered an oblique strain, a trip to the disabled list surely is forthcoming. Jordan Danks came on to finish the at-bat for Viciedo.

Dayan Viciedo is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Nationals. Viciedo will take a seat in order to get Adam Dunn's bat into the lineup under National League rules. Dunn appeared in just five games in left field last season, but White Sox manager Robin Ventura apparently feels comfortable putting him out there in his old stomping grounds at Nationals Park.
