Straily (2-0) threw seven scoreless innings and struck out six in a win over the Braves on Friday, allowing three hits and three walks.
EDGE Analysis
Straily's seven innings were a season high, and he threw 61 of 98 pitches for strikes. Impressively, Straily didn't allow a home run to a Braves squad that has the third most home runs in the National League. The right-hander has allowed just 15 hits in 20 innings this season, but is also carrying an unfavorable 14:14 K:BB as well. Straily's next start will be against the Mets in New York.

Straily (1-0) struck out five and walked three in a win over the Braves on Friday, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
This was a much improved outing for Straily. In his previous two starts, he had gone just four innings in each, allowing a combined six runs while striking out three and walking eight. Straily was also able to stretch it out to 102 pitches (64 for strikes), which is good sign for his arm strength. The right-hander will next face off against the Dodgers in a start at home.

Straily allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out two across four innings as he didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Straily exited Sunday's game with a 5-2 lead, but he didn't qualify for the win after tossing just four innings. He's accrued a 6.75 ERA and 2.13 WHIP through eight innings this season and hasn't been able to work past the fourth inning in each of his first two starts. Straily's next outing figures to come Friday against the Braves.

Straily (forearm) allowed four runs on six hits and four walks across four innings in a no-decision Monday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Straily made his season debut after beginning the season on the shelf with a forearm injury. He struggled to find the strike zone at times and fell victim to the long ball, allowing two-run home runs in the second and fourth innings. It wasn't the prettiest debut for Straily, but he likely still has a great deal of rust to shake off. Luckily, the Malins are going nowhere fast this season and should afford him every opportunity to try and replicate his respectable numbers from 2017.

Straily (forearm) was activated from the disabled list Monday and will start against the Phillies, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Straily is back with the Marlins ahead of his long-awaited season debut. The 29-year-old missed the first month of the season with forearm inflammation, but he's good to go after getting through a minor-league rehab assignment with no issues. Straily posted a 4.26 ERA and 170:60 K:BB across 33 starts (181.2 innings) for Miami last season. Tyler Cloyd was placed on the paternity list in a corresponding move.

Straily (forearm) is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Phillies, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily threw a bullpen session Friday and the team expects him to be good to go by Monday. The 29-year-old recordied a 4.26 ERA in 33 starts for the Marlins last season, with a 22.1 percent strikeout rate and 7.8 percent walk rate which each beat the league average by a hair.

Straily (forearm) threw a bullpen session Friday, potentially setting him up to return to the rotation Sunday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins' medical staff wants to see how well he recovers from the session Saturday, be if he gets clearance the right-hander is poised to make his 2018 debut. Straily struck out a career-high 170 innings last year in 181.2 innings while posting a 4.26 ERA and 1.30 WHIP, and while he's not ace, his return will give Miami's rotation some much-needed stability.

Straily (forearm) will throw a bullpen session this week before the Marlins decide whether to activate him from the disabled list, Doug Padilla of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The coaching staff wants to take an up-close look at the right-hander before deciding whether he's ready to rejoin the rotation. Straily was stretched out to 88 pitches in his last rehab start for Double-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, so if he checks out OK during the bullpen, expect him to be back in the majors by early next week.

Straily (forearm) threw 88 pitches in his rehab start for Double-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, but Marlins manager Don Mattingly wouldn't confirm that his next start will be in the majors, Doug Padilla of MLB.com reports. "We'll just kind of continue to hold with [Straily] at least until tomorrow," Mattingly said before Tuesday's game against the Dodgers. "The biggest things with the guys out on rehabs is making sure that they are bouncing back the next day, so we'll see where he is tomorrow."
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander's start Tuesday wasn't exactly a rousing success, as he gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings while striking out six, but Straily is at least fully stretched out after getting shut down with the forearm issue late in spring training. If he does get activated from the disabled list this week, he would be on schedule to start Sunday's home game against the Rockies.

Straily (forearm) will make another rehab start Tuesday, this time for Double-A Jacksonville, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Straily has been out since mid-March with a forearm strain. He's made a pair of rehab starts for high-A Jupiter and will make at least one more, this time at Double-A. If that's his final rehab appearance, he'd be able to throw on four days' rest April 29 against the Rockies.
