Crisp (neck) will undergo a bone scan Monday, Joe Stiglich of CSNBayArea.com reports. Crisp is also expected to receive an epidural injection Monday to ease the pain in his sore neck. The scan is just a procedural measure for neck injuries, and it's still expected that Crisp will be out past the All-Star break.

Crisp (neck) will not take part in any baseball activities for at least a month, CSN California's Joe Stiglich reports. While no timetable has been provided, a return before the All-Star break now seems highly unlikely. Crisp still hopes to avoid a surgery that could be career-ending, and a specialist has recommended he get an epidural injection.

Crisp (neck) has been placed on the 15-day DL by the Athletics. This isn't looking good for Crisp, who is trying to rehab his recurring neck injury and avoid surgery, which could be career-ending, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports. He'll be eligible to return June 7, but given how nagging the issue has been, it could be longer until he comes back.

Crisp (neck) is dealing with the same injury that affected him in 2014. He will try to rehab the injury and go through treatment to avoid surgery, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Crisp's disc issue in his neck could land him on the DL, but no official decision has been made at this point, according to Slusser. If Crisp has to undergo surgery, manager Bob Melvin stated that it would likely end his career.

Crisp (neck) is not in the lineup Thursday against the Rays, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports. The news doesn't come as much of a surprise as Crisp is slated to meet with a neck specialist Thursday and wasn't expected to return to the lineup. His status should become clearer after visiting with the specialist, but Sam Fuld will assume the left field duties Thursday in his stead.

Crisp (neck) will visit with a neck specialist Thursday, John Hickey of Bay Area News Group reports. Crisp, who is not in the lineup Wednesday, will remain out Thursday while the team plays in Tampa Bay. He continues to be listed as day-to-day, and more should be known after Thursday's visit. In Crisp's absence, Sam Fuld and Craig Gentry will continue to handle left field duties.

Crisp (neck) remains day-to-day for now, but his availability for Oakland's upcoming series in Tampa Bay is uncertain, John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group reports. Crisp will avoid the disabled list for now, but manager Bob Melvin said the neck injury Crisp is currently dealing with is similar to the setback that cost him 25 games last season, so it would not be a surprise if he misses more time. Sam Fuld and Craig Gentry figure to handle the left field duties until Crisp returns to action.

Crisp (neck) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. The extent of the injury that forced Crisp from Tuesday's game remains uncertain, but the setback will prevent him from playing in at least one game, and could cost him more action. Craig Gentry will get the start in left field Wednesday in Crisp's place.

Crisp's neck injury is similar to the neck injury that added up to cost him 25 games over the course of last season, according to manager Bob Melvin, the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reports. Melvin said Crisp is day-to-day, but he missed chunks of time in every month after April with a neck issue last year, so this is not exactly encouraging. In shallower leagues there are likely players who can match Crisp's production without the headache of unpredictably being in and out of the lineup.

Crisp left Tuesday's game with neck tightness, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports. He went down hard while chasing a double off the bat of Colby Rasmus in the second inning, presumably injuring his neck. He missed quite a bit of time with neck issues in 2014, so this is especially concerning given Crisp's track record. Consider him day-to-day for now.
