Crisp is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Though Crisp is a switch hitter, he's fared worse against left-handers throughout his career and this season, so Athletics manager Bob Melvin will keep the veteran on the bench Sunday with southpaw Wade LeBlanc taking the ball for the Mariners. In Crisp's stead, Khris Davis will slot in as the team's left fielder, while Billy Butler enters the lineup at DH.

Crisp is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
After making three consecutive starts, Crisp will take a seat as Rajai Davis fills in in left, batting fourth. Crisp is batting just .237 since the All-Star break (14-for-59) but has picked up 10 walks, giving him a respectable .348 OBP during that time.

Crisp will start in left field and lead off Sunday against the Indians. It's his fourth start in the A's last five games.
EDGE Analysis
It had appeared that Crisp ceded his everyday role in center field to Jake Smolinski after the All-Star break, but Crisp's ability to play all over the outfield has enabled him to see at least semi-regular playing time. To his credit, Crisp has been able to post a respectable .349 on-base percentage since the break, but his age (37) and the A's standing as a rebuilding club could mean that he'll see his at-bats decline over the final two months as the team gives younger options a look in the outfield.

Crisp finished 2-for-4 with a triple and homer in Wednesday night's series win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder continued his strong series against the Rangers in the comeback win, scoring the first run of the game after a leadoff triple and later capped it off in the eighth with a go-ahead, two-run home run -- his second in as many nights. The Athletics still sit 11 games back in the AL West, but have made a second-half surge, winning nine of their last 13. The club will look to keep things going Friday in Cleveland.

Crisp homered in a 2-for-4 game with a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Crisp had missed the past two games with a neck injury but came back in a big way with six total bases. He was stuck in a 3-for-28 slump since July 10 and had missed five games in that span, so perhaps the rest was just what he needed. He hasn't posted an OPS above .700 since 2013, but Tuesday's performance brought his 2016 mark up to .709.

Crisp (neck) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran has been battling a neck issue over the past few days that even led him to be scratched from Sunday's lineup, but after a few days of rest, Crisp is set to return to the A's lineup. Crisp will take over in left field and bat leadoff Tuesday against righty Nick Martinez and the Rangers.

Manager Bob Melvin hinted Monday night that Crisp (neck) may rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crisp notably took batting practice ahead of Monday's game, suggesting that a return was near. The veteran is hitting just .139 over his last 36 at-bats, however.

Crisp (neck) was able to take batting practice from both sides of the plate before Monday's game, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crisp has been dealing with the neck issue for some time and has occasionally been limited to hitting from one side of the plate or the other as a result. As such, it's a particularly good sign that he is able to swing from both sides after the neck issue forced him to be scratched from Sunday's contest. He is not in Monday's lineup, but he could potentially be available off the bench and should be considered day-to-day.

Crisp was scratched from the Athletics' initial lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays due to a sore neck.
EDGE Analysis
Crisp was initially slated to bat leadoff for the A's, but the late-arriving injury prompted manager Bob Melvin to change things up. With Crisp out of the lineup, Jake Smolinski will shift over to center field, Danny Valencia will move from first base to right field, and Yonder Alonso will enter the lineup at first base. Crisp should be viewed as day-to-day until the Athletics provide another update on his situation.

Crisp is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Crisp will get the day off after going 0-for-4 on Wednesday against Houston. He has had a rough month of July, hitting .196/.302/.399 with no home runs and only four RBI during 46 at-bats. Jake Smolinski will get the start in center as Billy Butler mans the designater hitter position for Thursday.
