Romine went 1-for-2 with an RBI double, walk and a strikeout during Tuesday's win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Romine drew the start at shortstop Tuesday and made his presence felt early as part of the hit parade that nailed opposing starter Corey Kluber with five earned runs over the first three innings. The utility infielder has been serviceable at the plate early in the season, posting a .259 average and .306 on-base percentage through his first 58 at-bats.

Romine exited Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays with an apparent injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Romine appeared to injure himself while running the bases in the bottom of the sixth inning. Joe Girardi and the Yankees' team trainer met with the catcher while he was at third base and he did not return to the field during the top of the seventh inning. Gary Sanchez is expected to rejoin the Yankees on Friday, so reserve catcher Kyle Higashioka would likely only serve as the starter for one game if Romine is forced to miss extended time.

Romine is not in the Tigers' lineup Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Romine started off a bit hot but has cooled lately, and he'll get a breather in a game that may wind up being washed out by rain anyway.

Romine is starting at shortstop and batting ninth in Sunday's game against the Twins,
EDGE Analysis
Romine sat on Saturday but he's back in there Sunday. With Jose Iglesias and now JaCoby Jones on the DL, Romine should get fairly regular playing time at shortstop and in center field for the time being.

Romine is not in the lineup Saturday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Romine has started the last three games but has managed just one hit in his last 11 at-bats. He'll head to the bench Saturday as the Tigers go with Dixon Machado at shortstop and Nick Castellanos at third base.

Romine is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rays, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Romine is hitless over his last three games (0-for-13) after collecting three consecutive multi-hit games prior, so he'll take a seat to clear his head as JaCoby Jones takes over in center field. He's started four of the last five games for the Tigers, but his bat will need to wake up if he wants to continue to see a healthy amount of at-bats.

Romine will start in center field and bat eighth in the order Sunday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second straight start and fourth start in five games for Romine, who earned himself more opportunities following a string of three consecutive two-hit outings last week. Romine has since cooled down over his last two starts with a combined 0-for-9 showing at the dish, but it appears manager Brad Ausmus is at least considering him for a platoon role in center field with JaCoby Jones. He might be worth tracking in AL-only formats.

Romine is batting first and playing second base Thursday for the Tigers against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
After clubbing a grand slam Wednesday, Romine spells veteran Ian Kinsler during the afternoon contest. Perhaps he'll hit enough to plug in around the lineup at several positions in the near future, though this probably is just a brief uptick for the career .243/.298/.300 stick.

Romine went 2-for-3 with a grand slam during Wednesday's 5-3 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Romine has now started three of the past four games and gone 6-for-10 at the dish with four runs, three doubles, a home run and four RBI. It's still a little too early to pounce in the majority of seasonal leagues, but you'll want to take notice in daily contests and consider taking a speculative flier in cavernous mixed or AL-only settings. Just keep your expectations in check because the 31-year-old utility man entered the year with an underwhelming .240/.296/.294 slash line over 884 plate appearances.

Romine is starting in center field and batting eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
JaCoby Jones has fallen into a slump since Opening Day, going 2-for-14 at the plate with six strikeouts over the last six games. This could open the door to more regular starts in center for Romine moving forward, though Jones will likely get back in the lineup soon to try to turn things around.
