Rodriguez (hamstring) will be activated from the DL on Tuesday, Mark Feinsand of NY Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez, who has not played a game since May 3, is finally set to be activated from the DL next week. The veteran slugger has served as the Yankees DH in all 20 games he's played this season and will likely return to that role, batting in the middle of the order, when he comes off the DL.

Rodriguez (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees were initially targeting Saturday as a return date for Rodriguez, but now it seems that Tuesday is the more likely return date for the veteran. Carlos Beltran will continue to serve as the DH in Rodriguez's absence Saturday.

Rodriguez could potentially make his return from the disabled list Tuesday against the Blue jays.
EDGE Analysis
While Rodriguez is eligible to make his return from the DL Saturday, it appear the Yankees will likely wait until they return home following their weekend series with the Athletics to activate him. Rodriguez has indicated that he is feeling better every day, so barring any setbacks a Tuesday return seems to be a reasonable expectation.

Manager Joe Girardi said Wednesday that Saturday is the earliest potential return date for Rodriguez (hamstring), Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was already reported earlier in the week that Rodriguez would not be ready to come off the DL when he's eligible on May 19, and now it appears that missing just a few days beyond that date may be optimistic. Rodriguez was able to do some conditioning work before Wednesday's game, but Hoch reports that he was moving gingerly at best. Given Girardi's comments, a return for Rodriguez over the weekend appears to be up in the air.

Rodriguez (hamstring) won't be ready to come off the disabled list on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal's Jared Diamond reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees are still hopeful that Rodriguez will come off the DL during the weekend series against the A's, but Thursday now seems highly unlikely, as Rodriguez still has not been able to run the bases. This situation seems to be a day by day evaluation, as Rodriguez is OK to hit, but unable to run the bases, which could change sometime this weekend.

Rodriguez (hamstring) will need to be able to prove he can run the bases before being activated Thursday, the New York Daily News' Mark Feinsand reports. "The next 48 hours will be big until you get cleats on and turn the bases, that's the biggest challenge," Rodriguez said Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Joe Girardi said he is still planning on having Rodriguez back on Thursday, when he is first eligible to return, but there remains that one hurdle for him to clear. Owners should plan on getting Rodriguez back Thursday, but his status will be updated if that starts to look any less certain.

Rodriguez took early batting practice and is on track to return Thursday, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez has been recovering from a right hamstring strain he suffered on May 3 and and has been steadily progressing towards a return. The 40-year-old veteran has been jogging prior to games and hitting in the cages, but him hitting BP means he's near game-ready. The 14-time All-Star will bring a .194 average (five homers/ten runs/12 RBI) into a matchup with Oakland on Thursday.

Rodriguez (hamstring) was able to resume jogging prior to Saturday's game against the White Sox, the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez said he felt good while running Saturday, and slowly but surely, it looks like he's beginning to put the strained right hamstring behind him. The 40-year-old has also been hitting off of a tee of late, and could be cleared to take batting practice in the near future.

Rodriguez (hamstring) will hit in the cage Thursday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list, Meredith Marakovits of the YES Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodriguez has been shut down for the past week due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain, but he's progressing well and is scheduled to both hit in the cage Thursday as well as do some light conditioning work. The key factor in determining the next step will be gauging how sore he is Friday given that Thursday marks his first baseball activity in over a week. Still, there is optimism that Rodriguez could be ready to come off the DL once he's eligible late next week.

Rodriguez was diagnosed with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain, the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was the most mild potential diagnosis, and it leaves open the possibility that Rodriguez may be able to return shortly after the 15-day minimum window. The 40-year-old had finally started finding some power, as he mashed three home runs in five games before landing on the DL, so the shorter the layoff the more likely it is he can pick up where he left off. In the meantime, Carlos Beltran figures to continue seeing most of the starts at DH in A-Rod's place.
