The 31-year-old De Aza has just a 1-for-7 career mark against Sabathia.

De Aza went 2-for-5 with a home run in Saturday's win over the Blue Jays. De Aza smacked his second home run this season and appears to be settled into Baltimore's leadoff spot against righties. The Orioles have a history of adhering to splits and De Aza has a solid line over the last three years against righties (.272/.335/.412).

De Aza is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Mark Buehrle and the Blue Jays. No surprise here, as De Aza isn't expected to get much playing time against left-handed pitching. Nelson Cruz will move out to left field Wednesday, with a lefty in Jason Vargas on the mound for Kansas City, as Delmon Young steps into the lineup at DH. De Aza has put together a strong postseason thus far, going 7-for-21 with three doubles in five games.

De Aza is not in the starting lineup Friday for Game 1 of the ALCS against the Royals, Joel Goldberg of Fox Sports Kansas City reports. The Orioles are going with the same lineup that they went with in their series clinching Game 3 win against Detroit, which also didn't include De Aza. Delmon Young will fill in at left field and bat fifth in his place.

De Aza is out of Sunday's lineup against the Tigers. De Aza is sitting due to the bad matchup with lefty David Price, as the outfielder is hitting .138/.194/.207 against lefties this year. However, it could also be possible the foul ball De Aza took off his foot in Game 2 hurt more than he let on. Delmon Young will take over at left field in his place.

De Aza stayed in the game after being hit with a pitch by Max Scherzer pitch in his foot. Initially, De Aza was tender on the foot but he walked it off. The left-hander De Aza is the likely candidate to start again in Game 2, but he will likely sit in favor of Delmon Young in Game 3 against David Price.
