Pierzynski is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
With Tyler Flowers on the 15-day DL, Pierzynski has been seeing an increased role behind the plate, and although he is hitting just .215 on the season, the 39-year-old has been solid since the All-Star break, hitting .276 with one home run and three RBI.

Pierzynski remains out of the lineup for Saturday's game against Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Tyler Anderson on the mound for the Rockies, the Braves will go with right-handed batter Anthony Recker behind the dish and give Pierzynski the night off. A righty in Tyler Chatwood will toe the hill for Colorado in the series finale on Sunday so it's likely Pierzynski will be back out there in that one.

Pierzynski started the first two games of the series for the Braves, but will take a seat in favor of Anthony Recker for Sunday's finale.

Pierzynski went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Pierzynski's first homer of the year gave the Braves a 2-0 lead in a game they'd eventually go on to lose. Despite struggling mightily this year, he's now hit safely in six straight games to move his slash line to .212/.233/.272.

Pierzynski has gone 5-for-20 across seven games in July.
EDGE Analysis
For much of the season, Pierzynski has been Atlanta's primary option at cacher when facing right-handed pitching. With fellow catcher Tyler Flowers dealing with a hand strain, Pierzynski could be in line to see more time behind the plate after the All-Star break. However, this is unlikely to lead to further run production on Pierzynski's behalf. Thus far, he's hitting just .205/.227/.250 and is part of the league's lowest scoring roster, as Atlanta averages just 3.4 runs per game.

Pierzynski is in the lineup and batting sixth for Monday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Most of Pierzynski's playing time has come against right-handed pitching this season, and he's posted a .218 average with 11 RBI and 8 runs in such matchups this season. He will have an opportunity to do some damage against Reds' Daniel Wright who is 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA this season.

Pierzynski is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Pierzynski has found himself in nearly an even timeshare with Tyler Flowers this season, but Sunday's decision for manager Brian Snitker was easy, as he'll rest his veteran left-handed bat against southpaw Jon Lester. Instead, Tyler Flowers will be behind the plate for starter John Gant.

Pierzynski is out of the lineup Friday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
As usual, Pierzynski will head to the bench with the Marlins trotting left-hander Adam Conley to the mound. Tyler Flowers will take over behind the plate Friday, and could also garner the start Saturday with lefty Wei-Yin Chen slated to throw for Miami. If the platoon holds up, Pierzynski will likely re-enter the lineup Sunday when right-hander Tommy Koehler takes the ball for the series finale.

Pierzynski is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Brewers, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite right-hander Wily Peralta taking the hill for Milwaukee, Pierzynski will get the day off following Wednesday's 13-inning loss in which he caught every inning. Tyler Flowers will fill in for the 39-year-old behind the plate.

Pierzynski is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Pierzynski has a lot of trouble against left-handers, holding a dreary .125 OPS against them on the season, so it comes as no surprise that he'll take a seat for the series finale with left-hander Jeff Locke taking the ball for Pittsburgh. As usual, Tyler Flowers will fill in behind the plate for him.
