Rosales went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales staked San Diego to a 1-0 lead with his second-inning homer off Chad Bettis, later adding a single for his second multi-hit effort of the month. The long ball was his second in September and 10th of the season, establishing a new career high. The 33-year-old is slashing .230/.326/.474 in 196 at-bats this year.

Rosales hit his ninth home run and knocked in a pair in a 2-for-3 game Monday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales was hitting just .222 without a home run in 21 games since hitting a walk-off blast July 30 against the Reds, but he found other ways to be productive, mashing two doubles, two triples and walking nine times (against just 11 strikeouts) in 46 plate appearances, good for a .370 OBP. Rosales won't provide much regular pop, but he continues to find steady MLB work thanks to his positional versatility and strong eye at the plate.

Rosales went 2-for-4 with a double and the game-winning home run in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales' walk-off blast was his eighth of the season, and the second in his last three games. Friday's game-winner also gave Rosales a new career high for home runs in a season. In addition, the 33-year-old third baseman collected his first multi-hit game since June 2 while raising his average to .297, its highest mark since April 29. If he continues performing at a high level, Rosales might be able to earn a heftier workload out of his platoon role.

Rosales is out of the lineup Sunday against the Reds, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales had logged the last three starts at second base, as the Reds had brought three lefties to the mound in a row. For the time being, it appears manager Andy Green is content to roll out a platoon of Rosales and Ryan Schimpf at the keystone until Cory Spangenberg (quad) returns from the DL, likely around the All-Star break. As the right-handed hitter of the two, Rosales generally should be expected to see fewer at-bats than Schimpf.

Rosales is in the lineup and batting eighth for Monday's game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales hasn't brought much value offensively this season, hitting just .188 with three home runs, 10 RBI, and 15 runs scored through 46 games this season.

Rosales will start at second base and bat eighth in the order Sunday against the Mets, Jeff Sanders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
More importantly, according to Sanders, regular second baseman Jemile Weeks is headed for the disabled list, meaning Rosales should be in line to see additional reps at the keystone in the coming weeks. Jose Pirela will also be recalled from Triple-A El Paso to provide infield depth, but Rosales is presumably the favorite for added playing time in a depleted infield. Counting on Rosales for major fantasy production may not be wise, however, as the 32-year-old is slashing .185/.254/.352 over his first 59 plate appearances of the regular season. Perhaps his second go-around as a regular starter will return different results.

Rosales is out of the lineup again Tuesday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Neither Rosales or his replacement, Brett Wallace, have been hitting very well this season, but it appears that Rosales will take the day off simply because a right-handed pitcher is on the mound for Colorado. This may not hold going forward, as Rosales would barely see the field over the next week if a strict platoon held up, but the playing time situation at third base should become clearer as the week goes along.

Rosales isn't in the lineup Monday versus the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales won't get the nod at the hot corner for the fourth time in eight contests, as Brett Wallace mans the position and bats cleanup. Nevertheless, Rosales has received at least one at-bat in each outing during the stretch, notching a .150 average (3-for-20) with one homer, one RBI, two runs scored, and one walk versus 13 strikeouts.

Rosales is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales has gotten more opportunities to play with both Yangervis Solarte (hamstring) and Alexi Amarista (hamstring) on the disabled list, but he has only managed to produce a meager .211 batting line. Brett Wallace will man the hot corner and bat fifth in his place, although his .143 batting average leaves much to be desired as well.

Rosales is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Rosales will be replaced at third base by Brett Wallace. Wallace will bat fifth in his place. Rosales went hitless in his last game, but is putting up decent numbers with a batting average of .226 on the season. Wallace will face right-hander Mike Leake.
