Hill exited Saturday's game after injuring his ankle but is available off the bench Sunday if needed, Scott Lauber of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the tweak of the ankle, there's nothing to suggest the issue is anything to worry about. Given that the veteran infielder splits time anyway, it shouldn't be of concern whether or not he's in the lineup. Unless something further surfaces, consider him good to go moving forward.

Hill is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rays, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hill has been seeing occasional time at third base, but will sit out Tuesday as Travis Shaw gets the nod to start at the hot corner. Hill's performance at the plate has left much to be desired lately, as he's gone just 5-for-28 (.179) over the last 14 games.

Hill (forearm) is back in the lineup Thursday against the Tigers, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hill missed Tuesday and Wednesday's games due to forearm tightness, but encouraging news did surface Wednesday when it was reported that he would be available to pinch hit. Although he never did make it into Wednesday's game, Hill will bat atop the order Thursday afternoon while returning to his regular spot at third base.

Hill went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Monday's 2-1 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Hill's first long ball as a member of the Red Sox couldn't have been much more clutch, as it tied the game 1-1 in the eighth inning. The recent trade acquisition will probably cede most playing time against righties to the left-handed hitting Travis Shaw, but his ability to come through against southpaw James Paxton in this one bodes well for the former Brewer's ability to pick up starts against lefties moving forward.

Hill is not in Tuesday's lineup against San Francisco, Sean McAdam of Comcast Sports Net reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hill will see the bench for the third time in the past five games as Travis Shaw makes the start at the hot corner and bats seventh. Hill has gone 4-for-16 (.250) with a run and two RBI since his acquisition from Milwaukee on July 7.

Hill is not in the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hill started Saturday's contest and three of the last four overall, but he'll take a seat Sunday evening in favor of Travis Shaw at third base. Shaw has a bit more experience against opposing starter Masahiro Tanaka, going 2-for-8 with a homer. Hill, on the other hand, has never faced the right-hander.
