Greinke did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two hits and one walk over five scoreless innings against the Cardinals. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Though Greinke held the Cardinals to just two hits and no runs over 5.0 innings of work, he was outshined by Miles Mikolas, who tossed eight scoreless innings and struck out 10. Greinke has quietly put together an impressive May, earning a 2.30 ERA with a 25:3 K/BB over six starts (31.1 innings). Though his recent form has been promising, the veteran's fantasy upside remains capped by his inability to pitch deep into games as he hasn't gone more than six innings all season.

Greinke did not factor in the decision against Detroit on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke served up a solo homer to Riley Greene in the fourth frame but otherwise kept the Tigers off the scoreboard. The crafty veteran reached five strikeouts for the just the third time among his 11 starts, though two of those performances have come across his past three outings. Since giving up seven runs in 3.2 innings against Minnesota on April 27, Greinke has rebounded by yielding three or fewer earned runs over each of his subsequent five starts. Over that span, he's posted a solid 2.73 ERA, though he has only one win to show for it.

Greinke (1-5) took the loss Friday versus the White Sox, allowing two runs on five hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out four and didn't walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke pitched well outside of a sloppy second inning, but the Royals put just one man on base all game, and he was wiped out by a double play. With inconsistent run support, it will remain difficult for Greinke to find his way to the win column. He has a 4.82 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB through 52.1 innings across 10 starts this season. The veteran is lined up for a home start versus the Tigers next week.

Greinke did not factor in the decision against Milwaukee on Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out five batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke put together a solid outing, with the only two runs against him coming on a third-inning Christian Yelich homer. However, the bottom-10 Kansas City offense failed to give him much run support, keeping the veteran stuck on one win on the campaign. Greinke made a bit of history in the outing, striking out Joey Wiemer in the fifth to become the fifth pitcher in MLB history to punch out 1,000 different batters over the course of a career. Greinke's accomplishment is largely a testament to his longevity -- he has fanned less than a batter per inning over the course of his 20-year MLB tenure -- though he has slightly improved his K/9 to 6.2 this season from 4.8 last year.

Greinke did not factor in the decision against the White Sox on Monday, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke carried a one-run lead into the sixth inning, but a Gavin Sheets solo homer tied the score and eliminated his shot at a win. The veteran hurler once again failed to miss bats -- he induced just two swinging strikes and notched two punchouts -- but managed to craft his way to within an out of a quality start. Greinke has fanned just 27 batters over 41.2 innings this season, emphasizing his changed approach late in his career after averaging over a strikeout per inning in multiple seasons when he was younger. Despite the lack of dynamic stuff, Greinke is at least providing some length for KC, going at least five innings in all but one of his eight starts so far this season.

Greinke (1-4) earned the win over Baltimore on Wednesday, pitching five scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and struck out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke needed just 44 pitches to complete five frames, and it's unclear why he was pulled with such a low pitch count. Regardless, the veteran managed to pick up his first win of the campaign, becoming the first pitcher since Greg Maddux in 2003 to earn a win with 44 of fewer pitches, per Jon Weisman of Dodger Thoughts. Wednesday's performance was an impressive bounce-back for Greinke after he allowed seven runs over 3.2 frames against Minnesota in his previous start.

Greinke (0-4) took the loss Thursday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings against the Twins. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke has had a rough start to the season, posting a 6.10 ERA and 1.45 ERA through six starts so far this year. The former Astro has allowed multiple runs in five of those appearances, and he's in danger of having the worst season of his career if he doesn't improve soon. The 39-year-old is tentatively slated to face the Orioles at home in his next start.

Greinke allowed four runs on seven hits and no walks over five innings against the Angels on Saturday. He struck out two batters and didn't factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke tossed two scoreless frames before giving up a run in the third. He yielded a solo homer to Hunter Renfroe in the fourth inning and two-run shot to Mike Trout in the fifth before departing. The veteran hurler didn't allow any long balls in his first two starts this season but has served up up five homers in three games since. Greinke's given Kansas City decent depth by going at least five frames in each of his five starts, but his 0-3 record and 4.61 ERA are far from inspiring.

Greinke allowed four runs on four hits while striking out six with one walk over six innings Sunday against the Royals, but he didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Greinke pitched six efficient innings and held the potent Atlanta offense to only four hits; however, he was tagged for three runs in the third inning and didn't factor into the decision. Despite having a solid 4.03 ERA and 17:4 K:BB over 22.1 innings pitched, the 39-year-old veteran is still winless with an 0-3 record in 2023. With the Royals ranking at the bottom of the league in offensive efficiency, it may be difficult for their starting rotation to earn wins regularly. Still, Greinke will aim to achieve his first win in his next start, scheduled tentatively for the upcoming series with the Angels.

Greinke fell to 0-3 with a loss against the Rangers on Monday. He allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out three batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Though Greinke lost his first two starts of the campaign, he pitched quite well, allowing just three runs over 11.1 combined innings. The veteran didn't fare as well Monday, but he kept the Royals competitive before the team's bullpen fell apart following his departure. Greinke was stung by a pair of Rangers homers -- the first two long balls he has given up this season -- and he struck out a season-low three batters. He still has a solid 3.31 ERA through three outings, but he may not rack up many victories this season while pitching for a Kansas City club that thus far has displayed one of MLB's worst offenses.
