Darvish allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out seven batters in a no-decision against Minnesota on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was efficient in the outing, needing a modest 80 pitches (52 of which were strikes) to get through six frames. He departed with a one-run lead, but the Padres bullpen couldn't hold it, saddling Darvish with a no-decision. The right-hander nonetheless picked up his third quality start of the campaign and lowered his ERA to 3.16. Darvish also sports a 1.08 WHIP and 47:14 K:BB across 42.2 innings.

Darvish (2-2) earned the win Friday over the Dodgers, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out six over 6.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish gave up one run in each of the first and seventh innings, and he was tough to hit in between those hiccups. The right-hander rebounded from giving up three homers in last appearance, though that one came at altitude in Mexico City last Sunday. This was Darvish's second quality start in six outings this season, and he has a 3.19 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 40:13 K:BB through 36.2 innings. He's on track for a road start in Minnesota next week.

Darvish did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings against the Giants. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish fell victim to the high altitude of Mexico City, allowing a trio of solo home runs to LaMonte Wade, J.D. Davis and Mitch Haniger in separate innings. However, he was able to salvage the outing by allowing just one other run while also striking out nine. Darvish's swing-and-miss arsenal has been inconsistent this season, with 21 of his 34 punchouts coming from two appearances. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next start Saturday against the hard-hitting Dodgers.

Darvish (hamstring) is listed as the Padres' probable starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Giants in Mexico City.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish experienced right hamstring cramping in his most recent start April 23 in Arizona, but with the Padres having two days off this week, the right-hander was afforded some extra recovery time and appears to have recovered nicely. He takes a 1-2 record, 3.00 ERA and 1.13 WHIP into his fifth start of the season this weekend.

Darvish (hamstring) is on track to start Sunday for the Padres against the Giants in Mexico City, Joey Pollizze of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish left Sunday's start against the Diamondbacks with a right hamstring crap, but the right-hander's absence was described as precautionary. If there are any signs of setback it's possible the Padres could push Darvish back, but it does appear that the 36-year-old won't end up missing any time with the hamstring trouble.

EDGE Analysis
Darvish exited with a trainer in the bottom of the sixth inning Sunday, but his injury isn't believed to be particularly serious. Manager Bob Melvin said after the game that he expects Darvish to make his next start, which lines up for next weekend against the Giants. Following Sunday's start in which he earned his first win of the season, Darvish now has a 3.00 ERA, 25:12 K:BB and 1.13 WHIP in 24 innings over his first four outings in 2023.

EDGE Analysis
Darvish's start was pushed from Saturday to Sunday, and he allowed a run on two hits and five walks while striking out five in 5.2 innings prior to exiting with a trainer in the sixth frame. Darvish (0-2) allowed one run on four hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out 12 while taking the loss against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was locked into a pitcher's duel with Wade Miley and came out on the wrong side despite a dazzling performance. The 36-year-old had solid command of all his pitches, finishing with 10-plus strikeouts for the 50th time in his career. Darvish was defeated via small ball after Garrett Mitchell reached via a bunt single in the second inning. He got to second on a balk and then stole third before crossing the plate on a sacrifice fly by Brian Anderson. It was a nice bounce-back outing from Darvish, who lowered his ERA to 3.44 to go with a 1.09 WHIP over 18.1 innings. He'll be in search of his first win of the year when he takes the mound next weekend against the Diamondbacks.
