Hunter is out of Saturday's lineup against the Blue Jays, LaVelle E. Neal of the Star Tribune reports. Hunter is just getting some rest, with Eddie Rosario backing him up again. Hunter usually gets spelled from right field by playing DH, but that's not the case this time with Eduardo Nunez getting the start there.

Hunter is not in the lineup Thursday against the Tigers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. It looks like a scheduled day off for Hunter, who will give way to Eddie Rosario in right field. Rosario is joined by Eduardo Escobar in left and Aaron Ricks in center field. Catcher Kurt Suzuki will slide up and bat second in Hunter's usual slot.

Hunter whacked his sixth home run, drew two walks and scored two runs in Wednesday's win over Detroit. The first-inning homer got the Twins started on a fairly leisurely win and continued what's been a fabulous stretch of hitting by Hunter. In 12 games during the month of May, Hunter has hit five of his six homers while going 19-for-48 (.396) with 14 RBI and 14 runs. Those are elite fantasy numbers. Of course, at his age, Hunter can't be expected to keep up this sort of onslaught, but it looks like he's headed for a very productive season.

Hunter was 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI as Minnesota defeated the Indians on Friday night. A huge fan favorite in Minnesota, Hunter finished April hitting a disappointing .205, but he (and the Twins) have turned it on in May. Hunter is now hitting .280 and has four long ones to go with 18 RBI as the Twins have won eight of their last nine games. Jump on board - Hunter and his mates are feeling good right now.

Hunter got the start at DH on Saturday, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and his second home run of the season. His .250/.291/.388 slash line so far isn't setting the world on fire, but until the Twins start calling up prospects like Byron Buxton, or give Aaron Hicks another chance, Hunter's spot in the lineup should be fairly secure.
