House (3-3) delivered seven dominant innings Thursday in a win over the Twins, striking out eight without a walk while allowing just four hits and no runs. Since a five-runs-in-less-than-five-innings disaster against the White Sox on Aug. 26, House has suddenly started pitching like an ace. Over his last three starts -- which include a rematch with those White Sox -- he's allowed just two runs on 16 hits in 21 innings while posting a spectacular 20:0 K:BB. House has a legit chance to keep the good times rolling in his next start, which will come Wednesday against Houston.

House will not make his scheduled start Wednesday night due to the postponement of Wednesday's game against the Twins. The Indians and Twins will play a doubleheader Thursday to make up for Wednesday's rainout. House is scheduled to start the second game of Thursday's twin bill and face off against Ricky Nolasco.

House turned in a strong performance Friday night, allowing just one run on seven hits, he did not walk a batter and struck out seven over seven innings, but took a no-decision in the Indians' 2-1 win over the White Sox in 10 innings. House was sharp, needing 101 pitches (66 for strikes) to cover the seven innings. He made just one mistake - a solo home run off the bat of Alexi Ramirez in the third inning - but was matched pitch-for-pitch by Sox' ace Chris Sale. He'll take on the Twins at home in his next scheduled start.

House worked seven strong innings Sunday night versus the Royals, giving up just one earned run on five hits while recording five strikeouts in a contest that was suspended in the middle of the 10th inning due to inclement weather. Coming off of a frustrating outing this past Tuesday versus the White Sox, House bounced back with one of the strongest efforts of his rookie campaign. The young lefty surrendered a run in the bottom of the first, but followed up with six straight scoreless innings. The key for House on Sunday night was efficiency, as he found the zone with 67 percent of his deliveries and needed a modest total of 85 pitches to get through seven frames.

House wasn't sharp in Tuesday's win over the White Sox, surrendering five runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He didn't factor into the decision. The Indians staked House to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, but the lefty gave away that advantage by allowing a two-run homer to Alexei Ramirez before departing. House has been inconsistent as a starter during his time with the Indians, with high pitch counts representing his biggest enemy. He's covered six innings just once in his last six starts.

House threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball Wednesday in a 5-0 win over the Twins. He gave up four hits while walking three and striking out five. House had been temporarily moved to the bullpen, but was called on to start after Corey Kluber was moved back a day. The lefty improves to 2-3 on the year with a 3.80 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 66.1 innings. House will face the White Sox on the road Tuesday.

House will start Wednesday against the Twins, with Corey Kluber moving back to Thursday. Though House was moved temporarily to the bullpen, he never did pitch in relief during that move. His last outing came on Aug. 7 against the Reds.

House will temporarily be moved to the bullpen, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. House is expected to return to the rotation, but it's unclear when that will be at this point. His next start will likely depend on whether Kluber starts Wednesday or Thursday.

House, who was scheduled to take the mound Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, will miss out on the start after Tuesday's game was rained out and the Indians decided not use him in the makeup game Wednesday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports. Regularly scheduled starter Trevor Bauer will take the mound for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader and Josh Tomlin will slot in to take House's start. House will likely be used out of the bullpen if either starter struggles, and it's not clear if he will remain in the Indians' rotation going forward.

House made a quality start at Cincinnati on Thursday, allowing four runs -- three earned -- and eight hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out five. House has been mediocre as a starter for the big club this season, although he's been solid in his last two outings, giving up just three earned runs, with 12 strikeouts in 11 innings. With Justin Masterson not on the roster any longer, it looks like House will get a shot to be a fixture in the rotation, and he'll square off against Arizona at home in his next start.
