Drew is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader with the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Drew didn't exactly make a strong case to start both games of Saturday's twin bill, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout and a walk in the matinee. The 32-year-old is now just 1-for-his-last-20.

Drew is out of the lineup Monday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Drew is likely getting a day off with the Yankees facing a lefty starter in the O's Wei-Yin Chen. He'll be replaced at the keystone by Jose Pirela on Monday.

Drew went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three RBI in Wednesday's 13-8 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Drew's .211 average and .281 on-base percentage ranks among the worst in the majors for players who have received at least 350 at-bats, but fantasy owners may be willing to overlook those issues due to the supreme pop he's showing from a middle infield spot. His 17 homers trail only Hanley Ramirez (19) and Brandon Crawford (19) among all players with shortstop eligibility in most formats.

Drew reached base six times in Sunday's 20-6 beatdown of the Braves, as he singled three times, walked twice, and hit a three-run homer. He finished the afternoon with four RBI and three runs scored.
EDGE Analysis
The home run was Drew's 16th of the season, marking his best total since hitting a career-high 21 bombs in 2008 with the Diamondbacks. However, that's about the only area that Drew has been an above-average fantasy asset from the middle infield this season; his overall line still sits at a pedestrian .201/.274/.385. That poor production should keep Drew locked into the eighth or ninth spot in the Yankees' lineup on most occasions, though his job security seems strong after second-base prospect Rob Refsnyder floundered in his first taste of the majors earlier this season.

Drew launched his 12th home run of the season in his only at bat in Wednesday's win over the A's. The home run put the Yankees ahead 5-2 at the time, but ended up being the difference after the A's fought back to pull it within one in the ninth inning. Drew's 12 homers are behind only Brian Dozier among second basemen, but he continues to struggle to hit for average, as he's hitting just .179 on the year and .154 in July.

Drew will be activated from the paternity list in advance of Thursday's game against the Astros, The Westchester Journal News reports. Drew ended up missing two games to spend time with his wife and new child, but he'll rejoin the club as they go to Houston for a four game series. With Brendan Ryan placed on the disabled list in that time, Jose Pirela started at second base in each of the last two games, but Drew figures to reclaim that role once activated.

Drew was placed on the paternity list Tuesday. Drew will miss at least one game and could sit out as many as three days while away from the team to spend time with his wife and new child. Brendan Ryan is the primary candidate to see a start or two in Drew's place, and the team also called up Jose Pirela from Triple-A to fill his roster spot.

Drew clubbed two more home runs in Friday's loss to the Tigers. Drew continues to struggle at the plate, as his average sits at .188, but it's now his third multi-home run game of the month. His 11 long balls are second most second basemen, but he's provided little other value when he's kept the ball in the park.
