After returning from a hamstring injury May 11, Victorino lasted just under two weeks before his calf began acting up. Victorino was beginning to play well of late, but with Rusney Castillo recently called up from Triple-A Pawtucket, the Red Sox likely won't miss a beat with him unavailable. In fact, it's quite possible that Victorino won't have a starting role waiting for him when he returns from his latest DL stint if Castillo performs as expected.

Victorino went 4-for-7 over his last two games, but he is still being eased back into action after recovering from a hamstring injury, and will be held out Saturday. This is only his third RBI and third stolen bag of the year after returning from injury just four days ago. Victorino only has 10 hits in 49 at-bats this season, but has a solid on-base percentage walking seven times to give him a .328 OBP.
