Raburn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn won't face lefty starter Jon Lester on Sunday, as Gerardo Parra will start in left field, and bat fifth instead. Raburn is usually used exclusively against left-handed pitchers, however in his career 15 at bats against Lester, he's only gotten three hits for a batting average of .200.

Raburn will bat sixth in the lineup Wednesday as the Rockies' left fielder, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rockies are stacking their righties against Arizona southpaw Patrick Corbin on Wednesday, going so far as to replace Charlie Blackmon and Gerardo Parra with an outfield combo of Raburn and Brandon Barnes. Raburn has 49 career home runs against left-handers but he is a mere 1-for-11 lifetime at Chase Field.

Raburn has been added to the major league roster, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With their starting outfield comprised of three left-handed batters, the Rockies unsurprisingly want a right-handed bat off the bench. Though known for his wildly inconsistent performance from season to season, Raburn does have a very strong overall track record against lefties. He's unlikely to get more than a start or two per week.

Raburn signed a minor league deal with the Rockies on Friday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old outfielder is coming off one of the best seasons of his career in 2015 when he hit .301/.393/.543 with eight home runs and 29 RBI for the Indians in 82 games. Unfortunately, the Rockies outfield seems to be locked in place with Gerardo Parra, Charlie Blackmon, and Carlos Gonzalez slotted as the starters. Raburn will likely be competing for the fourth outfield spot going into the season.

Raburn's club option for 2016 was declined Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn was used almost exclusively against left-handed pitching this season, and for good reason too -- he hit all eight of his home runs and recorded a .589 slugging-percentage in 151 at-bats against southpaws in 2015. The 34-year-old actually posted career-high averages across the board, but he also recorded the fewest amount of at-bats in a season since his rookie year. However, considering his power against left-handed pitching he will likely have a myriad of options heading into the offseason and should catch on with another team looking for a platoon outfielder.

Raburn went for 1-for-2 with a solo homer in Saturday's 2-0 victory over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
It was business as usual for Raburn against left-handed pitching, with all eight of his homers this season coming off southpaws. Although he has only tallied 173 at-bats in 2015--primarily against the left-handers that he typically punishes--Raburn has posted an impressive .301 average that is 43 points higher than his career .258 mark.

Raburn went 2-for-2 with two solo homers and a walk Monday at the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn got his first start of the month and made the most of it, hitting homers to tie and win the game for the Indians. He continued his mastery of Chris Sale, as he's now 10-for-33 with four homers against the lefty.

Cleveland Indians outfielder Ryan Raburn has been suffering from gastritis over the last two weeks but is starting to feel better, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Raburn has not played since exiting Sunday's game with discomfort, but he is expected to return soon.

Raburn is "a little under the weather," which is why he's out of Saturday's lineup, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Raburn handles lefties well, so his presence in the lineup will be missed Saturday against Pirates southpaw Jeff Locke, though manager Terry Francona noted that Locke has fairly even splits against lefties and righties. Nonetheless, it seems like this illness is nothing major, so expect Raburn to be available Sunday and back in the lineup the next time the Indians face a left-handed starter.
