Raburn left Friday's game against the Rangers with a knee injury after running into a fence, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports. The incident occurred in the second inning, and reports said that keeping Raburn out of the game was just precautionary. However, with another game against the Rangers on Saturday, it is possible Cleveland decides to leave Raburn out depending on the severeness of the injury.

Raburn will sit Wednesday against the Astros, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart reports. With a righty (Scott Feldman) on the mound, the Indians will deploy David Murphy at DH, a platoon that could continue as long as Nick Swisher (knee) is sidelined. Look for Raburn to get back in the lineup when Cleveland faces David Price and the Tigers on Saturday.

Raburn left Thursday's Cactus League game with left knee discomfort, Nick Camino of WTAM 1100 reports. The initial description doesn't sound too serious, until you remember that Raburn had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in September. He wasn't restricted at the start of spring training but it's still a bit worrisome that the same knee is bothering him. If healthy, Raburn will likely make the Opening Day roster, though he may have his $2.5 million salary to thank for that.

Raburn will enter camp mostly unrestricted but the Indians will monitor his workload early as his knee adjusts to increased volume and intensity, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. It sounds like the team will be cautious with the 33-year-old early on, but Raburn is fully expected to be available for games when the Cactus League slate begins. Raburn has completed his rehab from September arthroscopic surgery.

Raburn (knee) will not face any restrictions at the start of spring training, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. This doesn't come as a surprise, as a full recovery from September knee surgery was estimated at just 6-to-8 weeks, but it's reassuring nonetheless. Raburn also missed time with neck and wrist injuries last season and struggled mightily when on the field, posting a .547 OPS in 212 plate appearances. He'll have to fight to maintain a roster spot this spring.

Raburn underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery Friday. A lateral meniscus tear was repaired during the procedure, and with a full recovery expected in just 6-to-8 weeks, it seems likely Raburn will back to full strength well ahead of spring training. The 33-year-old hit just .200/.250/.297 with four homers in 74 games this season.
