Raburn was traded to the Nationals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to the deal, Raburn was hitting .277 for Triple-A Charlotte in the White Sox organization. Given the lack of outfield depth the Nationals have with both Adam Eaton (knee) and Chris Heisey (biceps) on the shelf, it wouldn't be too surprising to see Raburn find his way back to the big leagues if his performance in the new organization warrants it.

Raburn (hip) has just one hit (a home run) in his first three games with Triple-A Charlotte.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn was cut by the Reds after incurring a hip injury during spring training, but it seems like the veteran outfielder's ailment has subsided. That being said, the missed time may have impacted the 35-year-old's performance at the plate, as he has struck out in three of his 10 at-bats already. If Raburn can pick things up at the plate, he could be an option to head up to Chicago to fill in when lefties take the mound for opposing teams, but in the meantime, he'll simply act as organizational depth.

Raburn (hip) signed a minor league contract with the White Sox on Saturday and will report to Triple-A Charlotte, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox acquire one of their greatest nemesis' over the past few years; Raburn has 20 career home runs and 82 RBI against the squad while playing with Detroit and Cleveland. He latches on after being cut by the Reds at the end of spring camp and likely serves as organizational depth, at least until his hip injury subsides. Regardless, Raburn will have to prove himself in the minors after an underwhelming 2016 campaign in which he hit .220/.309/.404 over 113 games with the Rockies.

Raburn was released by the Reds on Monday, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn was 7-for-32 with three home runs and a 5:7 BB:K (.219/.324/.500) throughout spring before being cut loose. This is somewhat surprising, as the 35-year-old was expected to give the Reds some experience on the bench, but it could have something to do with the recent hip injury Raburn experienced. Either way, he'll now try to catch on with another team.

Raburn left Sunday's game with a left hip contusion in the fifth inning, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old had batted .226 with three homers and seven RBI across 31 spring at-bats with the Reds as a non-roster invitee heading into Sunday's contest. It's unclear how severe the contusion is, how long it will keep him out, or if he'll open the season on the Reds' big league roster, so those interested in his status should stay tuned for updates in the next few days.

Raburn is hitting .217/.308/.478 with two homers in 26 plate appearances this spring. Despite the low batting average, he's still likely to make the Reds' Opening Day roster, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn hasn't done much to dissuade manager Bryan Price's opinion that he's worthy of the spot. "Ryan Raburn is exactly who he is," Price said. "I don't think spring numbers are going to be a barometer -- good or bad -- for the type of impact he has on a club. He's a kid that wouldn't probably carry a ton of starts over the course of a year. But he's going to give us an experienced bench player. He knows the role. He handles velocity and he's used to facing the better relief pitchers later in the game. That experience to me is important."

Raburn (neck) will play first base and bat fifth in the order during Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Angels, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raburn was scratched from Saturday's game due to stiffness in his neck, but it appears that he is feeling better and is ready to return to action.

Raburn was scratched from the lineup Saturday due to stiffness in his neck, Zach Buchannon of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't appear to be anything serious, and he should be expected back shortly. When Raburn returns, he'll compete to make the Reds' Opening Day roster.

Raburn and fellow NRI-teammate Desmond Jennings have reasonably good odds to make the Reds' Opening Day roster out of spring training.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds are lacking other veteran alternatives to win bench roles, and they hope to have Jesse Winker begin 2017 back in Triple-A Louisville. Moreover, their starting outfield of Adam Duvall, Billy Hamilton and especially Scott Schebler are somewhat vulnerable to losing playing time.

Raburn signed a minor league deal with the Reds on Friday that includes an invite to major league spring training, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder will head to Reds camp with an outside shot at making the Opening Day roster following Friday's deal. He struggled across the board with the Rockies in 2016, slashing .220/.309/.404 over 223 at-bats. However, Raburn is just one season removed from a productive campaign with the Indians when he notably hit .325 with a 1.004 OPS against left-handed pitching.
