Roberto Hernandez got a no-decision, allowing three runs in 5 2/3 innings, as the Phillies lost 9-6 in 14 innings to the Giants on Tuesday. Hernandez was making his first start since July 9. He out-dueled Giants starter Yusmeiro Petit, but the Phillies' bullpen could not hold the lead. Hernandez allowed five hits, walked three, and struck out only one in the effort. He has had an uninspiring season, carrying a 4.25 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 71/54 K/BB ratio. Hernandez matches up next against the D'Backs at home on Sunday.

Roberto Hernandez needed only 84 pitches to hold the Brewers to one run over eight innings in Wednesday's victory. Hernandez very easily could have taken the hill for the ninth inning, but manager Ryne Sandberg opted to let closer Jonathan Papelbon pick up the save. Hernandez limited the Brewers to three hits and two walks while striking out three in his most dominant start of the season. Now with a 4.22 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP, and a 70/51 K/BB ratio, Hernandez will face the Braves in Atlanta when the Phillies return from the All-Star break.

Roberto Hernandez allowed five runs over six innings but was good enough to pick up the victory in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the Braves. Hernandez walked five on the day, yielded eight hits -- including two homers -- and struck out just two. Luckily for him, though, is that Aaron Harang was even worse. The righty has permitted at least four runs in three of his last four starts and now holds a 4.52 on the year. Hernandez will try to right the ship next week versus the Marlins.

Roberto Hernandez was ejected from Friday's game against the Cubs in the sixth inning after hitting Starlin Castro with a pitch. To that point, Casto had provided the game's only offense with a two-run blast his previous trip to the plate. Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg was also given the gate for coming out to defend his pitcher. Hernandez finished the evening allowing two runs on three hits and a pair of walks over 5 2/3 innings while striking out five.

Roberto Hernandez gave up four runs over four innings before being removed for a pinch-hitter Saturday against the Reds. Hernandez's command has deserted him of late; he's 14 in 21 1/3 innings over his last four starts. Overall, he's up to 32 walks in 62 innings for the year, a huge increase from the 38 walks he issued in 151 innings for the Rays last season. He's just too hittable to succeed with a walk rate like that.

He'll aim to rebound this weekend against the Reds in Cincinnati.

Roberto Hernandez took the no-decision, allowing two runs over 5 2/3 innings as the Phillies defeated the Rockies 6-3 on Wednesday. Hernandez wasn't terribly effective, but he was able to dance out of trouble when necessary. The right-hander allowed six hits -- including a solo home run to Justin Morneau -- while walking five and striking out four. Hernandez has a mediocre 42/27 K/BB ratio and a 1.56 in 52 2/3 innings, but owns a 3.76 ERA. He will face the Mets at home in his next start.

Roberto Hernandez gave up two runs in 6 1/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Dodgers. Hernandez had his last turn in the rotation skipped, so this was his first start in two weeks. He gave up seven hits (including a home run to Carl Crawford) and four walks, but managed to keep his team in the ballgame. However, the Phillies' offense just couldn't get anything going against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers' bullpen. Hernandez fell to 2-2 with the loss and now has a 3.83 ERA and 38/22 K/BB ratio over 47 innings this season.
