Andino was suspended 50 games Wednesday for testing positive for a drug of abuse, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a 13-game stint with the Marlins last season, Andino hasn't seen major-league action since 2013. The 33-year-old is organizational depth at this point in his career. He'll be eligible to return in late-July.

Andino will receive an extra look this spring while J.J. Hardy continues to deal with lower back problems, Rich Dubroff of Pressbox reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran will get a chance to show he's still got something left in the tank as he embarks on his 11th MLB season. With Hardy's lingering back issues and Manny Machado playing in the World Baseball Classic, Andino should get a fair chance to usurp Ryan Flaherty for the team's backup infielder role. Andino's most productive season came as an Oriole in 2011, but even that wasn't much of a fantasy-worthy campaign. The 32-year-old is a longshot to move up the depth chart before Opening Day, but Andino's extra at-bats this spring are worth a glance.

Nadine agreed to a minor league deal with the Orioles on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old has made just 24 plate appearances since 2013, going 7-for-24 with the Marlins after being called up last year. He slashed .267/.319/.427 across 453 plate appearances in Triple-A last year, where he'll likely end up again as organizational infield depth.

Andino was designated for assignment Thursday, Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andino has played in just 13 games for the Marlins this season, during which he's gone 7-for-24 (.292) at the plate. The decision to designate Andino for assignment was made so there would be room for the newly-acquired Odrisamer Despaigne on the 40-man roster.

Andino will be recalled from Triple-A New Orleans, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
EDGE Analysis
Andino will serve as an extra bat in on the Miami roster following the placement of outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (groin) on the DL. He's seen most of his time in the minors this season at shortstop, but has also played at second base, left field and center field. If he gets into the lineup, he does provide modest power -- 13 home runs and a .746 OPS through 419 at-bats for the Zephyrs this season.

Mariners designated INF Robert Andino for assignment. Andino gets the boot after batting just .184 (14-for-76) with a 27/7 K/BB ratio in 29 games. Carlos Triunfel has been promoted from Triple-A Tacoma to replace him on the active roster, but the move could set the wheels in motion for Brad Miller to eventually make his way to the majors.

Mariners designated INF Robert Andino for assignment. The M's finally decided that they couldn't carry two no-hit middle infielder's, as Andino's .184/.253/.237 batting line is even worse than Brendan Ryan's. Andino is versatile, though, so it's possible he could drawn some interest on waivers.
