The lone run scored on a home run by Alberto Callaspo in the top of the fifth inning. The southpaw has allowed just four runs over his last four starts, lowering his ERA from 3.27 to 2.87 in the process. He'll look for his fourth straight win in a promising matchup against the Athletics next week.

This is Romero's second consecutive stellar outing after he struck out eight while tossing 8 1/3 scoreless innings in a victory against the Orioles on Wednesday. Prior to those starts, Romero hadn't allowed less than four runs in an outing since July 1. It's safe to say he's back. Romero is 9-9 with a 2.98 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 133 strikeouts.
