Phil Humber was shelled for eight runs over four innings in a loss Sunday to the Tigers. Humber gave up three home runs, including a two-run shot to Prince Fielder in the first inning. He's now lost seven straight games to open the season and has a 8.82 ERA. It's hard to believe that Humber still has a rotation spot at this point. He'll likely be moved to the bullpen if he continues to struggle.

Phil Humber allowed four runs over six innings as the Astros lost to the Yankees on Tuesday. Humber probably got off light, as he surrendered nine hits and two walks on the evening. He's now 0-6 on the year with a 7.58 ERA. His next start comes Sunday against the Tigers, but the Astros are the only team he should be starting for these days.

Astros manager Bo Porter said Friday that Philip Humber will remain in the starting rotation. Humber had a 2.89 ERA through his first three starts, but he has been knocked around for 15 runs in five innings over his last two starts, bringing his ERA up to 7.99 for the year. It's not like the Astros have many great alternatives, so they'll stick with him for now. However, he's mostly irrelevant in fantasy leagues.

Philip Humber was pounded for seven runs in 4 2/3 innings by the Red Sox in a loss Thursday. Humber has lost all five of his starts this season, though he had a fine 2.89 ERA after the first three. It's only in the last two that he's been lit up, so his rotation spot is safe for now.

Philip Humber recorded only one out before being removed from Saturday's game against the Indians. The Tribe ripped him for eight earned runs on eight hits and a walk. Humber was pretty solid in his first three starts this season but it all came apart on Saturday night. The 30-year-old righty is not fantasy-relevant.

Phil Humber gave up two runs over seven innings in Sunday's loss to the Angels. It's the second consecutive game Humber has posted a quality start but finished with a loss. He walked one, struck out four, and allowed seven hits before being removed with 92 pitches. Humber should continue to have value as a back-end starter in AL-only leagues.

Philip Humber posted a quality start but suffered a loss Monday, allowing three runs over six frames against the Mariners. He walked one and gave up just five hits, only one of which went for extra bases, but that was enough as the M's held down the Astros' feeble offense. Humber has pitched pretty well in both of his starts but is now 0-2. He'll try for his first win this weekend in Anaheim.

Philip Humber allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings Wednesday in a loss to the Rangers. So now you know why we didn't project any Astros starters to reach double figures in wins this year. Humber looked good this spring and he did a nice job against a fine offense today, but given his difficult schedule and likely continued lack of bullpen and run support, he's probably never going to have much fantasy value.

Astros manager Bo Porter hinted on Tuesday that Philip Humber had all but secured a spot in the Opening Day rotation. Porter noted that Humber came into camp competing for a job, and has done everything they've asked him to do, including pitch well. The 30-year-old owns a sparkling 1.29 ERA and 0.64 WHIP through 14 innings this spring, but is unlikely to be an impact player in fantasy leagues.

After coming out of the pen, Philip Humber allowed one hit over five scoreless innings Tuesday in the Astros' 9-4 defeat of the Marlins. With the wind blowing out to left, the game's other eight pitchers combined to give up six homers today, making Humber's outing a bit more impressive. With a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings, he should have a rotation spot just about clinched now.
