Corbin (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Twins after allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin was handed an early lead after the Nationals got on the board in the opening frame, but the team managed just three hits, leaving him with little room for error. The 33-year-old escaped with the bases loaded in the second but gave the lead up in the fourth after surrendering solo home runs to Jorge Polanco and Michael Taylor. The Twins tacked on an insurance run in the fifth before Corbin finished up his outing with a clean sixth. The southpaw has now pitched back-to-back quality starts, and he also racked up a season-high six strikeouts Sunday. He sits at a 5.88 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and a 19:8 K:BB over 26 innings, and tentatively lines up to face the Pirates at home next weekend.

Corbin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs (two earned) on five hits and zero walks over six innings against the Guardians. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
All of the damage against Corbin came in the fourth inning. He allowed three doubles in the frame, and the Guardians took advantage of two National errors to score four runs, though just two were charged to Corbin. He was spared another loss, however, when Washington rallied to take a 7-6 lead in the eighth inning. The 33-year-old Corbin is 1-2 through 20 innings this season with a 6.30 ERA and a 1.75 WHIP.

Corbin (1-2) earned the win during Monday's 6-4 win over the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin was shaky in the first and ultimately got tagged for two runs on a single by Luis Rengifo. The left-hander also surrendered two runs in the third off a solo shot from Hunter Renfroe and an RBI double by Gio Urshela. However, Corbin was able to settle down after that and secured a win thanks to five unanswered runs from Washington's offense. Through three starts (14 innings), Corbin holds an ugly 7.71 ERA and has just nine strikeouts compared to six walks.

Corbin (0-1) took the loss after allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits over three-plus innings during the season opener against Atlanta on Thursday. He had three strikeouts and three walks.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin predictably struggled against Atlanta's deep and dangerous offensive attack and often pitched from behind as he threw a first-pitch strike to just seven of the 20 batters he faced. It's an ominous start to 2023 after going 6-19 with a 6.31 ERA last season. Up next is another tough test at home against the Rays.

Corbin will start for the Nationals on Opening Day versus Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin is coming off a season which saw him hold a 6.31 ERA over 31 starts, but his bloated salary gets him the nod in an otherwise inexperienced Washington rotation. For what it's worth, the veteran lefty has pitched well this spring with a 3.86 ERA and 13:1 K:BB over 14 frames.

Corbin gave up one run on five hits over six innings in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets. He struck out five without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty was facing a lineup that included the likes of Starling Marte and Francisco Lindor, as well as top prospects Francisco Alvarez and Mark Vientos, and after giving up a run in the first inning, Corbin shut down New York the rest of the way. His control has been impeccable this spring, and Corbin has a 13:1 K:BB through 14 Grapefruit League innings over four starts. but the 33-year-old hasn't posted an ERA below 4.66 or a WHIP below 1.47 since 2019 and remains a very risky fantasy option in 2023.

Corbin gave up two runs on three hits and a walk over 2.1 innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Facing a Houston lineup that included the likes of Jose Altuve, Kyle Tucker and Alex Bregman, Corbin sailed through two scoreless frames before running into trouble in the third. The veteran left-hander is coming off the worst season of his big-league career, and his 2021 wasn't a whole lot better, but his sizeable contract ensures he'll still be part of the Nationals' Opening Day rotation. Corbin is offering a glimmer of hope he'll be able to rebound in 2023 with a 5:1 K:BB through his first four spring innings, but he has far too much to prove to be worth a roster spot in most fantasy formats.

Corbin (6-19) allowed seven runs on 10 hits and three walks over 4.2 innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin made his first start since Sep. 20 and turned in another poor outing. He gave up just one run through three innings before coughing up six in the fourth and fifth frames combined. The 33-year-old southpaw finishes the 2022 campaign with a brutal 6.31 ERA and 128:49 K:BB through 31 starts. Corbin briefly looked like he turned a corner late in the year; he registered a 2.84 ERA across 31.2 frames in six starts before Sunday's implosion.

Corbin (back) is scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Phillies, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin had his last turn through the rotation skipped after he exited his start against Atlanta on Sept. 20 with back spasms, but he'll rejoin the rotation Sunday for his final start of 2022. The veteran left-hander has a 3.20 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB across 19.2 innings through three starts in September, and he'll attempt to finish the campaign with another strong outing.

Corbin (back) will have his next turn through the rotation skipped, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Corbin exited Tuesday's start against Atlanta due to back spasms but has resumed throwing and has felt better recently. However, he'll miss at least one turn through the rotation due to the injury. It's not yet clear whether the Nationals plan to place him on the injured list, but he'll be sidelined for the remainder of the year if he requires an IL stint.
