Aoki is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Without the ability to employ a designated hitter, manager A.J. Hinch moved Aoki out of the lineup in order to get Carlos Beltran some playing time. The Astros have one more contest with the Marlins, so the Astros should be able to employ their normal rostering strategies by Thursday.

Aoki is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki struggled to hit in Houston's first game Sunday. He went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk in Houston's 11-6 loss to the Yankees on Sunday afternoon. The Astros will deploy Jake Marisnick to left field for their second game Sunday night.

Aoki is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki will take a seat with a lefty in Jaime Garcia due up for Atlanta, as manager A.J. Hinch goes with an outfield consisting of Marwin Gonzalez, Jake Marisnick and George Springer (from left to right). While Aoki is batting .280 through 24 games, it's a rather empty .280 average -- he has just one homer, one steal, eight runs scored and six RBI. Aoki figures to remain in the No. 9 spot against right-handed pitching.

EDGE Analysis
Aoki has started three of the last four games for the Astros, but will get the day off against Matt Shoemaker and the Angels. Jake Marisnick will get the call in left field in his stead.

Aoki is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
As is normally the case, Aoki will get a night off to rest with lefty Cole Hamels toeing the rubber for Texas. Marwin Gonzalez will pick up a start in left field in his stead.

Aoki went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run against the Indians on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Although Aoki hasn't been playing every day, he's been a nice piece in the lineup for the Astros, hitting .364 over his first 50 plate appearances. Of course, we know what to expect from him at this point: an average that'll settle in the .280s, accompanied by minimal pop and modest speed. That's good for a 35-year-old player, but it isn't worth much in the fantasy realm.

Aoki is out of Thursday's lineup against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The Astros will opt for a little more thump in the lineup with Carlos Beltran starting in left field and Evan Gattis starting at DH. Aoki is hitting .324/.351/.441 with one home run and one stolen base through 34 at-bats.

Aoki was used in the seven-hole Wednesday and went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in the Astros' 5-1 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki had batted ninth in all of his previous starts but, in acknowledgement of his hot bat, manager A.J. Hinch moved him up ahead of Yulieski Gurriel and a struggling Marwin Gonzalez. Aoki will be in the lineup most nights against right-handed starters and the 'Stros are scheduled to face righties Thursday and Friday.

Aoki went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
The left-handed hitting Aoki got a rare start against a left-handed pitcher and responded with his third consecutive multi-hit game. He was hired to be a platoon player in left field, however, manager A.J. Hinch appears to be playing the hot hand right now.

Aoki went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 7-2 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Aoki has started six of the first 11 games and leads Houston with a .350 average (7-for-20) and a .959 OPS after compiling four hits over the last two games. Manager A.J. Hinch has made a point of getting his bench players into games with left field being one of the positions used to achieve that goal. Primarily a leadoff hitter in the past, as an Astro, Aoki has been deployed in the nine-hole, so at-bats are naturally capped. Given that spot in the order and the likelihood he'll be in the lineup against most right-handed starters, we can expect somewhere between 350 and 400 at-bats this season.
