Tepesch (1-2) allowed one run on four hits and three walks across six innings in Monday's win over the Rays. He did not record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch epitomized pitching to contact in this one, calling his defense into action on all 18 outs he recorded in this effective outing. His only real mistake came on a solo home run by Wilson Ramos in the second inning, a two-run shot by Josh Donaldson provided all the run support necessary for the victory. Tepesch had not fated well in either of his previous two appearances this season, but this performance should keep him in the rotation for the time being. He will next take the ball Saturday against the Cubs.

Tepesch was recalled by the Blue Jays prior to his scheduled start Wednesday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Aaron Sanchez (finger) and Cesar Valdez (shoulder) sidelined, Tepesch will take over the vacant rotation spot for Wednesday's matchup with the Yankees. The right-hander lasted just 1.2 innings in a spot start for the Twins earlier this season, allowing seven runs (one earned) before being traded to the Blue Jays. Barring a phenomenal performance, Tepesch will likely cede his roster spot and head back to Triple-A Buffalo within the coming week.

Manager John Gibbons confirmed Tepesch will start Wednesday's game against the Yankees, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch will make his Blue Jays debut after being acquired from the Twins in late-July. The right-hander has 44 big-league games (41 starts) under his belt, and owns a 4.69 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 224.2 innings. In a corresponding move, Matt Dermody will be optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Tepesch is a candidate to fill one of Toronto's two vacancies in its starting rotation, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following the trade of Francisco Liriano to Houston, and Cesar Valdez failing to capitalize on his crack at the rotation, Tepesch is closing in on making his Blue Jays debut. The right-hander made 39 starts for Texas in 2013 and 2014, but has appeared in just two MLB contests since. He owns an unappealing big-league ERA of 4.69 with 137 strikeouts over 224.2 career innings, but the 28-year-old has done well at Triple-A in recent years. If he does get called up, Tepesch may be worth a look for owners in deep leagues that need pitching.

Tepesch (elbow) made his return from the disabled list with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits while striking out three in two innings of relief for the Bisons.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch threw 46 pitches (28 strikes) in the outing Tuesday, so it's safe to say that his elbow is feeling fine. Now that he's back and healthy, he'll act as an organizational depth piece for the remainder of the season in the Blue Jays' organization.

Tepesch (elbow) was traded to the Blue Jays in exchange for cash considerations Sunday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old hurler has been out since late May with a right elbow impingement, but the Blue Jays were intrigued by him enough to trade for his services. He'll need a little more time on the 7-day disabled list prior to returning to the fray, but he'll likely act as organizational pitching depth after that.

Tepesch (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch was released by Minnesota earlier in the month, but he'll head back to the team on a restructured contract. He's still on the disabled list with Triple-A Rochester, so he'll spend some more time on the shelf before attempting a comeback to the big leagues.

Nick Tepesch (elbow) was released by the Twins on Wednesday, Phil Miller of the Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch landed on the Triple-A disabled list in late May due to a right elbow impingement. He had only appeared in one game at the major-league level this season, giving up seven runs (one earned) off five hits and two walks in 1.2 innings against Boston. The right-hander could latch on as a fifth starter in the future, but will need to prove his worth at the minor league level first. His last start with Triple-A Indianapolis saw the 28-year-old allow nine earned runs in three innings of work.

Tepesch was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Rochester on Sunday due to a right elbow impingement, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins haven't permanently settled on Kyle Gibson and Adalberto Mejia as their Nos. 4 and 5 starters while Phil Hughes (shoulder) remains out, but Tepesch likely won't be under consideration to replace either pitcher in the rotation anytime soon while he tends to the elbow issue. Yohan Pino was recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to take Tepesch's spot on the Rochester roster.

Tepesch was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Tepesch is the roster casualty with Jose Berrios heading up to make his first major league start of the season on Saturday. After giving up seven runs in 1.2 innings last Saturday, it's should be no surprise that Tepesch has become the odd man out in Minnesota.
