Napoli went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Napoli was bypassed for a start in the Rangers' first game out of the All-Star break, but came off the bench to deliver the decisive blow in the victory. With a runner on base in the seventh inning, Napoli stepped in as a pinch-hitter for first baseman Joey Gallo and sent a tie-breaking blast over the left-field fence. It was the fifth home run in eight games for Napoli, who still offers plenty of pop for fantasy owners who are willing to stomach his career-worst .197 average.

Napoli is out of the lineup Friday against the Tigers,Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the second consecutive game in which Napoli, hitting just .222 over his last seven games and .194 on the season, will head to the bench. Shin-Soo Choo will take over as the designated hitter and Joey Gallo will man first base, indicating that future playing time may become a luxury for the 35-year-old slugger.

Napoli is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's been a mainstay in the Rangers' lineup this season, Napoli will enter the All-Star break with a career-low wRC+ of 78 and a horrific .194 average. The 35-year-old hasn't recorded a multi-hit game since June 17 and is currently sitting on a 32.5 percent strikeout rate. Adrian Beltre will handle the DH duties Sunday with Drew Robinson drawing the start at third.

Napoli went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 11-4 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
With home runs in four consecutive games and 18 total on the season, Napoli's power production certainly hasn't disappointed fantasy owners who drafted the 35-year-old with the thinking that his offseason move to Arlington would accentuate his slugging. However, with Napoli striking out in a third of his plate appearances this season and sitting on a career-worst .194 average, he's managed to fall short of expectations. It's unlikely that Napoli's poor contact skills will begin to cost him a regular starting role, but it will be up to his owners to determine if it's worthwhile to continue keeping him active at the risk of losing ground in the batting-average category.

Napoli went 1-for-5 with a solo home run to tie the game in the ninth inning of Monday's loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Napoli teed up the first pitch he saw from Craig Kimbrel and launched a no-doubt homer. It was a timely blast, and while Texas ultimately lost in extra frames, it completed the three-run comeback. Napoli has really struggled this season outside of showing off his tremendous power. His .193/.271/.433 slash line underwhelms, and despite playing regularly and hitting 17 bombs, his 34 RBI and 31 runs don't jump off the page, either.

Napoli went 1-for-4 with his 16th homer in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The all-or-nothing first baseman also whiffed twice, bringing his strikeout rate up to a career-worst 33.6 percent. Home runs in consecutive contests have raised Napoli's total since the start of the 2016 campaign to 50, but he also has 282 strikeouts in that span.

Napoli went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Napoli crushed his 15th homer of the campaign to help lead the Rangers to a road victory. Fantasy owners who can live with his poor batting average do so to benefit from his ability to provide big power.

Napoli is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Napoli will hit the pine after back-to-back three-strikeout games, paving the way for Robinson Chirinos to pick up a starting nod at designated hitter. Although Napoli is sitting on the worst slash line of his career (.191/.268/.409), there's been no indication from Rangers manager Jeff Banister that the veteran is in danger of losing a regular spot in the lineup.

Napoli struck out in all three of his at-bats in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
It was a whiff-happy night for the Rangers, as Napoli was one of four players on the team who struck out three times. Aside from Joey Gallo -- who has compensated for his swing-and-miss ways by leading the team in home runs -- no Rangers regular has been more strikeout-prone this season than Napoli, who sports a career-worst 33.7 percent K-rate. The lack of consistent contact coupled with a .224 BABIP -- also a career worst -- has sunk Napoli's batting average to .191 on the season. Though Napoli has supplied 14 home runs, power isn't as scarce of a commodity around baseball these days, so the veteran first baseman may not be an ideal lineup option in shallower formats until he shows some dramatic improvement in his contact hitting.

Napoli went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Thursday's win over Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
It was the 14th homer of the season for Napoli, and he's now up to a respectable 32 RBI and 26 runs. He owns an underwhelming .201/.273/.436 slash line, though, and the veteran is struggling to approach the monster numbers he posted last season However, his .229 BABIP is significantly lower than his career .302 mark, and he's also attached to a high-powered offense. Remaining patient with Napoli could pay off handsomely.
