Miguel Olivo went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Yankees. The home run was Olivo's 18th of the season, which is good for the Mariners' team lead by four. He's still the owner of a brutal .226/.258/.389 triple slash, however, and won't be someone to target in one-catcher mixed leagues next spring.

Miguel Olivo missed out on the cycle by a single in Friday's 3-for-5 effort against the Royals. Olivo collected his 17th homer, his first triple and his 15th double, but he couldn't come up with that fourth hit. He did manage to score three times for the second time this season. Olivo entered the game with a putrid .254 on-base percentage.

Miguel Olivo (chin) is available off the bench Wednesday. Olivo isn't in the starting lineup after taking a foul tip to the jaw Tuesday, but he's avoided anything serious. "He's feeling better," Mariners manager Eric Wedge said. "He woke up good this morning and tested out good. I'm still playing Bard, but Miguel is available. He got hit in the jaw, but was just a little hazy there for a while," said Wedge. "We checked him out and he should be OK."

Miguel Olivo was pulled from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays after being hit in the jaw with a foul tip. Olivo was hit with the foul tip in the top of the fifth and left the ballgame after striking out in the bottom of the inning. "He got his bell rung pretty good on that foul ball and he just didn't look right when he was swinging the next inning," said Mariners manager Eric Wedge. "I asked him before he went up there and he said he felt OK, but then he felt like he was feeling the effects of that afterward." Olivo was being examined by the M's medical staff following the game, but we should learn something more definitive about his status Wednesday.

Miguel Olivo hit a grand slam off the Jays' Casey Janssen on Thursday. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for the Mariners in a 7-5 loss. Olivo is still in a 2-for-22 slump that's lowered his average to .216.

Miguel Olivo is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Athletics. Not a huge surprise given that it's an afternoon game and Olivo was recently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but the encouraging part is that Mariner manager Eric Wedge said that he tried to lobby his way into the lineup. Josh Bard will start behind the dish Thursday and bat eighth against right-hander Guillermo Moscosco.

Miguel Olivo (hamstring) is back in the Mariners' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics. Olivo missed the previous five games due to cramps in his right hamstring. He'll bat sixth Tuesday against right-hander Trevor Cahill.

Mariners manager Eric Wedge expects Miguel Olivo (hamstring) to return to the lineup Tuesday or Wednesday. Olivo hasn't played since last Tuesday due to cramps in right hamstring. Josh Bard would likely fill in again Tuesday if he's unable to go.

Miguel Olivo (hamstring) is out of the Mariners' lineup again on Monday against the A's. Olivo has been sidelined since last Tuesday with muscle cramps in his right hamstring. He worked out on the field with a trainer before Monday's game in Oakland and should be nearing a return to the Seattle starting lineup.
