Morse remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Morse is sitting for the fourth straight game as new manager Dan Jennings continues to stick with Justin Bour in the middle of the lineup. Considering that Morse was inked to a two-year, $16 million this offseason, it seems unlikely that the Marlins will completely scrap More as an everyday player, but it may require a Bour slump before Morse gets his next chance to see regular at-bats.

Morse is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. Morse has struggled to get much going since mid-April, and has just one hit since May 12, so he will be held out Thursday for the third time in six games. Justin Bour will start at first base for the Marlins on Thursday afternoon.

Morse is not in the lineup Monday for the second time in three days, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. Morse went 0-for-2 Sunday and has not recorded a hit since May 11, so he will get another day off Monday. Justin Bour will get the start at first base in Morse's place.

Morse is out of Saturday's lineup against the Braves, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. Morse is likely just resting with Jeff Baker taking over at first base. The 33-year-old's average is now down to .214/.276/.291 and still only has two home runs and nine RBI, putting his fantasy value is in free fall.

Morse will return to the lineup Thursday against the Giants, Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. Morse sat each of the last three contests in favor of Justin Bour at first base, but will rejoin the lineup again Thursday. He's gone 0-for-12 with six strikeouts in his last three starts, dropping his average to .193 on the season, but will look to turn things around beginning Thursday.

Morse will sit for a third straight day Wednesday against the Nationals, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports. Morse has now yielded three straight starts to Justin Bour at first base, which could signify a change. Bour has excelled in a pinch hitting role to begin the season, and it has now earned him some playing time while Morse's .193/.253/.284 start has sent him to the bench. Nobody within the organization has confirmed a swap, but it looks as though Morse's grasp on the position has loosened at the very least.

Morse is not in the lineup Tuesday for the second straight day, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. Morse, who is hitting just .193 on the season, will cede the starting first base duties to Justin Bour for the second straight night. Morse has started to see more time on the bench of late and will likely need to pick things up with his bat to regain a regular spot in the Marlins' lineup.

Morse will return to the lineup Sunday against the Phillies, MLB.com reports. He'll bat fifth and play first base. Morse sat out Saturday's game after going 0-for-8 over his previous two games, dropping his batting average to .202 for the season. The Marlins' two-year commitment to Morse over the winter, as well as their dearth of options at first base, shouldn't put the 33-year-old at risk of losing an everyday role, but he's probably best suited for the bench or even the waiver wire in most formats.
