Cuddyer's been striking out much more than usual -- Thursday's K made it 14 in 37 at-bats on the season -- but he tends to make much more contact than that.

Cuddyer was hit by a David Buchanan pitch but fortunately appears to have dodged any serious injury. He could miss a game or two, but shouldn't be sidelined much beyond that. Kirk Nieuwenhuis (against righties) and John Mayberry Jr. (against lefties) will play for as long as Cuddyer sits.
