It's said to be just a day off for the 36-year-old Cuddyer after six straight starts -- he reportedly preferred to sit out Wednesday rather than Thursday afternoon. Cuddyer has gone hitless in his last three games (0-for-11), lowering his batting line for the month of June to .233/.253/.342. Darrell Ceciliani will get the start in left field in his absence.
